"hey! [l/n], is that you?" kaminari shouted as he started to pick up his pace, heading towards your direction.
"damn how'd you know?" you sarcastically chuckled to yourself as he made his way over, "i thought i made myself look pretty unrecognizable".
"we're in the same class y'know? it's not at all difficult to spot you in a crowd full of people" he scratched the back of his nape while deciding on whether he should say something else or what not.
"well i should probably get going" you spoke awkwardly, but continued to move around his well-built body.
but before you could even make it five feet away from where you were standing, he managed to snake his hand around your wrist.
"could we talk, please?".
startled by what he had said, you lightly tugged your hand away from him and pulled it back into your hoodies pocket. "m'not so sure that's the best idea kami..".
"it doesn't have to be now, or tomorrow actually" he chuckled to himself, but it wasn't a normal chuckle, no ; it sounded more like a forced one. ".. but i would like to talk sometime soon".
".. okay but don't pester me about it too much. you know that if i had more than one option, i wouldn't be standing here right now, let alone talking with you".
it then crossed his mind that you definitely did not like to be pressured into these types of conversations. it made him rethink about what he had wanted to say to you.
"of course i know [l/n], don't forget that i know you better than anyone" he expressed, letting a small smile slip from his lips.
"so if you knew me best then you'd give me some time to think..".
the small smile that he once had soon disappeared within a matter of seconds. "right, just-" he sucked in his breath for a moment or two, "please don't forget. i'd really like to talk to you".
"look i- i gotta go alright? i promised the girls i'd study with them in the evening. just text me later or whatever works for you".
and with that you turned on your heel and started to walk in opposite direction than the said boy.
not trying to think about the conversation the two of you shared for much longer, you settled on propping your earbuds in and continuing your short walk through the building of yuuei.
god, wait until the girls hear about this one all right.
