After All These Years

Hello! Welcome to my first ever full length story.

You may know me from my in progress carulia oneshot book. Or you might not. If you've never seen or interacted with me before, hi! My name is Jolie and I'm so glad you're here.

This story is by no means the best thing I'll ever write. However, with everything going on in my life during the months of production, it was something I needed to write just to get it out of my system and begin to move on. I quite literally use reading and writing carulia fics as a coping mechanism.

But here I am, writing an angst book, of all things.

I first had the idea and started drafting this story in January of 2021. The two main inspirations that are worth mentioning are the song All These Years by Camila Cabello, and a thought that came to me while discussing carulia interactions in the last season of Carmen Sandiego with a friend:

  "You still love her." 

Yes, I started writing this in January. If you don't know by now, I'm a very slow writer because I'm a perfectionist and well...procrastination y'know? The combination means it takes a very long time for me to produce anything I feel good about other people reading. As of right now, I only have bits and pieces of this story written, and they're scattered all around my mess of an outline. But hopefully you like this story enough to stick with me through however long it takes for me to write! :D

This story has a general trigger warning for angst.

I'll post any trigger warnings pertaining to specific parts of the story before each chapter. That being said, please read at your own risk. I can't promise that the angst will be light.
