"Rose, are you sure you don't want to go to hogsmeade with me?" Scorpius asks handing her a rose.
She sighs exasperated. "Scorpius this is getting old."
"Come on, I promise you it'd be worth your time," he smiles at her.
She frowns, "Scorpius I'm into girls. Strictly kitty. Gayer than the day is long."
Scorpius recoils in shock, "Oh..oh wow."
Rose shakes her head at his obliviousness. "Scorpius I hope you know it's nothing against you. It just seems like we're both batting in separate playing fields."
Scorpius raises an eyebrow, "What do you mean by that?"
Rose rolls her eyes, "It's pretty obvious that you enjoy staring at Albus more than me these days."
Scorpius stares blankly for a minute, she can almost see the gears turning in his head. "Oh shit, I have to go," he says turning and running the opposite direction towards the Slytherin common room.
