CHRISTIANA'S P.O.V

I am so confused and all I wanted to say was that I hated him, but his little ‘protector’ will probably claw my eyes out. She had red eyes, but I can wear contacts too. She had platinum blonde hair that was probably just bleached!

“Vampires don’t exist,” I said. Steven just laughed and looked adoringly at Katie. I rolled my eyes. How could he be a vampire if he’s so ugly?

Katie laughed and said, “I can read minds.” I was really embarrassed. Steven looked worried, probably about Katie.

                “Where’s mom?” asked.

“I don’t know, but Katie, here, is going to help us find her,” then he smiled.

“What do you mean you don’t know where she is, you probably killed her, since you’re a ‘vampire,’” I rolled my eyes. This has got to be a joke. Where’s Ashton? Katie started to laugh at me. Then I remembered she can read minds. Oh, great.

I decided to trust them, even though I was still mad at Steven for some things that happened last week. Like when I was babysitting and the stupid kid hit me in the face with one of those hands pointers, so I put scissors in her face…

When her mom got home, she didn't pay me, so I quietly stole her wallet. When I got home, I was in a bad mood and ‘it’ (it being Steven) found out and returned it. She totally freaked out and is pressing charges. But since apparently they’re vampires and can drain the life out of me at any second, I decided to trust them. I don’t have my phone anyways, so what do I have to lose?

“All right, what you guys want,” I said. Katie snapped her fingers and Steven passed out.

“Listen princess,” Katie said, “Your mom is in the trunk, so you better do what I say,” she said in a cruel voice.

“Look, I have some garlic salt in my bag, and I’m not afraid to use it,” I really did have it, because it makes the school’s food that much better…

“Okay,” she said, she didn’t look scared, she probably thought I was lying, but she can read minds so never mind. I got it out and sprinkled it on her face. Sadly, it didn’t get in her eyes L

“You know, garlic salt is way better than just plain garlic,” she said.

“Omg, yeah but you-“   I cut myself off, “wait a second, shouldn’t you be, like, bursting into flames, and don’t you only eat blood,” I asked.

“No, and only sometimes,” she answered.

“Does he know about mom,” I asked.

“No, and if you tell him, I’ll kill you all,” she said casually.

“Umm okay… but I will make sure she gets out. Then she snapped again.

“So, what do you guys want,” I asked.

“ Didn't you already say that?” Steven said, but we both ignored him.

“First, we need you to do a little favor to prove yourself worthy of working with us,” Katie said, smiling. Oh, great.
