i love re-reading the book.

 Christiana's point of view ♥

“Well,” I said, expecting to get a clue of what they want me to do.

“What? Oh yeah, the favor,” Katie said, like she forgot and I smirked.

“Well, what the heck is it?” I was getting really impatient.

“Go kill that boy over there,” she pointed at a ten year old boy who was playing in the grass.

“Umm, may I ask why?” I thought she was joking.

“Im not joking and you need to do it, and no, you may not ask why,” there was anger in her voice. I knew if I said no she would kill my mom, and worse, my friends.

“You’re right, I would,” she said with a smile.

“Stop reading my mind! There’s a thing called privacy,” I was screaming now. She just laughed.

The boy was short with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was laughing and smiling, but all of that was about to change.

I walked out of the car, and out of nowhere, my hands were around his neck. He was trying to get out, and then he scratched me so deep that blood was dripping out of my arm.

“OW,” I yelled. He jerked so much that my blood got all over his face and in his mouth. Ew, gross, was all I could think. Then he gave up and his dead body fell to the ground. I just stared at the dead body. I didn't notice the tears falling down until my vision was getting blurry. Katie touched my shoulder, I jumped back. I forgot about them.

“Good job,” she smiled while speaking.

“You’re sick.” I almost walked away, but I noticed something. The boy was standing up!

“That’s impossible!” Katie said, more like screamed. “You’re not a vampire, break his neck!”

                “I-I can’t,” I was stuttering.

“Fine, wimp,” she grabbed the boy’s head, twisted it back with a loud ‘pop’. He fell to the ground… again.

“Explain to me. Now!” This was a side of her I’ve never seen. Even though it’s only been a day.

“There’s nothing to explain. I choked him, he scratched me, and blood got in his mouth and face,” after a couple of seconds I said, “it was my blood.”

“I know it was your blood, stupid. But tell me how.”

                “I wish I knew.”
