Frostkit's eyes opened suddenly. He blinked quickly, trying to get the blurriness away. He shoved his little body off of the ground. As he stood on swaying legs, the world seemed to do flips around him. Since when was there 3 rivers? Not a second after that thought passed through his mind he came crashing towards the ground. He whimpered as his body hit the floor, throwing up leaves and dust. He tried to meow. Little sound came out. Where was his mum? She was just there a few moments ago. Then he fell. Did she not catch him? Tears pooled in the young kits eyes before he lost consciousness.

Was he awake now? Everything was slightly discolored. The trees and sky, dimmer than usual. But the water. A rushing river. It was a bright fluorescent blue. It made Frostkit want to run. To run back to his clan. To run to Snagstar, who he saw as his father. He wasn't sure if it was the color that alarmed him, though. Well not only the color. The bright shade did hurt his eyes. But... that wasn't it. Frostkit sat wearily. Suddenly, the bright water splashed towards him, swallowing him and tossing him around. The bright color, the movement, and his general fear scared Frostkit. He started sobbing, curling in on himself as the bright colored water still attacked him.

Frostkit's eyes snapped open. He scattered to get his paws together, standing up. The world was slightly blurry but that didn't phase him. He rushed towards a tree, climbing it and huddling on a branch in a cluster of leaves. It was oddly... easy? He felt light, like he wasn't weighed down. Like he was lighter. He looked down at his paws. Ignoring the fact that his paw was soaking, he looked at it. He could see right through it. He looked at the bark of the branch his paw rested on, memorizing it. He then pulled his paw off. It looked the same, if not clearer. Frostkit sat, dumbfounded. His breathing grew heavy as he panicked. It felt like was drowning. Again. He felt heavy again, he felt as if his fur was clogged with water, holding him down. He grabbed onto the branch with his claws as he felt himself start to cry again. Suddenly, he lurched forward, a teal substance forcing itself out of his throat. He backed up from it, the bright color reminding him of the water that had tortured him.

Froststep smiled as he trailed next to a black cat. His Yin. Of course, they didn't know he was there. Following their paw steps. Froststar purred. He was able to be with his soon to be mate and no one could tell him not to! He had been with Moontail every step of the day since he saw him trying to grab fish out of the river.

Froststep stayed not far from the river he woke up to next all those moons ago. When he was a young kit. He knew he was dead. His mum had killed him. She had shoved him into the river. He was alive for a bit after washing up down the river. But he had been dead by the time he had woken up from his... nightmare. She had never liked him, anyway. He was too oblivious to realize it.

He was always miserable. He was dead, able to do nothing. But he aged as any other cat would, leaving him with nothing to do. He wondered what would happen when he was old. Would he die again? To pass over to StarClan? Or the Dark Forest, even. But when he saw the black furred green eyed cat, his "life" had meaning.

He had stopped following Moontail a few fox lengths ago, now. As much as it pained him. He wasn't able to leave the- his river. He wasn't physically blocked from going a certain length away. He just couldn't bring himself to do it. Suddenly, he heard commotion. Normally, he would ignore it. Maybe he would even laugh if it sounded like something bad was happening. But instead he glared as his tail bristled. Moontail was asking someone to stop. They were scared. Froststep sprinted towards them, ignoring that the river was getting farther and farther away. Froststep pushed through a row of bushes. He saw a blond colored tom cornering Moontail. His mate. Froststep ran towards the cats but he felt different. Heavy almost. But not in a negative way. He felt real. He looked at his paws briefly. They were no longer transparent. Was he alive? Froststep faltered slightly. Everything was still slightly blurry as they had always been since he died. His fur floated, still just as light as before. Froststep huffed, ignoring what had just happened. He had to protect his mate. He stood infront of the black cat, shielding him. He opened his mouth to speak as he glared at the tom that stood infront of him. The teal liquid, Froststep was never sure what it was, filled his throat as he spoke, making it seem more choked and aggressive.

"What the fuck are you doing?"
