Her eyes widened in surprise as she felt the tingling sensation again, 'No, not right now!' Her breath caught in her throat as he snagged his warm hand around her waist.
While she watched him sleep blissfully, her heart was racing. Before he opens his eyes, she must get clothed in some way.
She took a big breath and gently turned around, attempting to pry his hands away from her. He tightened his grasp and snuggled into her neck, much to her disappointment. She might die of a heart attack and won't live for even fifty days. She hoped to revert to a cat before he woke.
She didn't have any luck as she heard him grunt a few minutes later, suggesting that he was going to wake up. She feigned to sleep to avoid causing a scene.
Her body was covered in goosebumps when his hands brushed over her skin.
"Is she asleep ?" He sat alongside her, tucking her in properly, "I hope we can solve this mystery," He whispered and walked to the restroom.
He placed her clothing on the nightstand next to her and went to the kitchen to make something for them. He had prepared an egg and bacon breakfast and was eagerly anticipating her arrival.
She made her way out of the room, trying not to make him feel uncomfortable. She said, "Hey," and grinned.
"I made eggs and bacon. Before you transform into a cat, eat it," He chuckled as she returned his stare.

Watching her eat, he couldn't help but giggle. With her mouth full, she resembled a chipmunk. When she caught a glimpse of him, she noticed him smiling at her which made her heart skip a beat.
"As you know, I withdrew the missing case." Her mouth was still full so she nodded.
He continued, "The cops were unable to locate your body, although..." she took a deep breath and turned to face him, "...they...discovered your suicide letter on the roof..."
The way he gazed at her, his eyes filled with questions that needed to be addressed, made her feel uneasy.
"W-Why...?"
As she remained mute, staring at her plate, he slipped the question out of his mouth, "...for whatever reason that was... please don't try it again."
She continued to eat while nodding to him.
"Don't rush. Only if you tell me about your problems will we be able to come up with a solution and work together to solve it. I'm sure you'll find the confidence to do so one day. I have faith in you," he smiled brightly, assuring her before he turned towards his room.
'Trust,' the same word that had turned her life upside down. But those were reassuring words for her for the first time. She felt secure in his presence, in his company, and in his trust.
