20. Outing

Sarah's POV

From the time I saw Tyler, I couldn't stop thinking of him. He was a total nightmare but it faded away a few years ago when I got this job and now that he's back, the nightmares, the quarrels, the first impression, the day at his house.. It all came back rushing in my mind, kicking off all my hopes. There's no doubt he's gonna come bother me and mess with my emotions once again. But i can't just let him control me this time. I'm stronger and better than before, I know how to sort out my feelings and feelings. It's usually odd to mix up my mind so I won't give in to that freak once again!

I was suddenly interrupted in my trance as my phone started playing the ring tone First Snow.

"Yobuseo?"
"Are you done with the work yet?" It was Dan on the other side of the line. Oh shit! I forgot about the outing with him! Daebak!

"Yeah. I'll be out in a minute." I abruptly stood up from my chair and grabbed my bag and keys and walked out my office.
"Ne. I'll see you there." He said as the line went dead afterwards.

I entered the lift as I slipped my phone into my bag in an instant. I pressed G but then the lift went up first to reach the 7th floor. I gasped in shock as to who entered the lift and stood next to me with a smile plastered on his face. It was silent for a few seconds as the doors closed and the lift moved downwards.

"So where are you going?" Tyler broke the silence.

"Doesn't concern you." I politely discarded his question.

"Hey. Still mad at me from before?"

"Shut up."

"Well I guess I'll have to punish you soon if you keep up this unattractive attitude." He said as the doors opened, revealing a part of the ground floor.

I started to walk out of the lift but a tight grip pulled me to turn around and land a warm kiss on my lips. My eyes widen in annoyance and I just pushed Tyler away from me.

"What the hell?!" I screamed as the lift doors closed behind me, leading me to ride on it once again.

"Your the same as ever." He chuckled.

"Don't touch me!" I turned around and pressed G again, letting him face my back. And when the doors opened, I quickly ran out of it and pushed open the large glass door and exited the building without glancing back. I reached Dan's black Mercedes and sat at the passenger seat and fastened my seat belt.

"Hey." Dan said as he started the engine and started to drive along the road, towards the town. The drive was filled with pure silence.

"So where are you taking me?" I broke the silence, not wanting it to continue any further.

"You'll see."

"Urgh. I don't like elongated surprises."

"Well deal with it." He smirked.

I slapped his arm slightly before pulling up a small smile.

"So what took you so long?" He asked casually.

"Nothing.. just work." I mumbled.

"Hey. I work too. I have more work than you so I don't get why you'll be delaying your time." He pressed on the matter which annoyed me slightly.

"Well I like to think a bit after work.." I blurted realising that would just end up questioning me more.

"What about?"

"Just hush!" I snapped at him.

He is the realised my annoyance so he just started facing the road with a poker face.

"Sorry.. I didn't mean to snap at you.." I managed.

"No worries, I shouldn't have asked you, like a nuisance." He shrugged.

"Hey. It's my fault. Anyways. Let's just not talk about anything until we reach that place we're going to." I casually said while leaning my head on the window and staring into blank space.

After driving around a few more blocks, we stopped in front of a quaint café.

"Well, I guess this is worth the 45 minutes ride." He chuckled.

"Er.." it was quite awkward because I've never seen him so casual and nice, especially his laugh. It was mesmerising.

"Shall we go?" He opened his door and came around to my side to open mine.

"Thank you." I giggled.

"Lets hurry up before it gets crowded." He gestured me to take his hand and so I placed my hand on his and I could feel his warmth in it, it made me melt like a marshmallow as we slowly made out way towards the café.

As we entered, I could visible feel the natural and homey vibe of the café. Cafés like this are really hard to find! The wallpaper all around the place was cream and red, It was designed in swirls on the walls.

"Welcome to Fangsong Café." A guy, standing by the door, greeted us with a smile. He looked rather young, maybe around his twenties or so. But nonetheless, who looks rather handsome for a barista.

Dan and I both sat by the window. "Order anything you like. It's my treat." He smirked.

"Fine. But don't take advantage and use this small treat against me." I eyed him carefully before picking up the menu and ordering a pastry and cappuccino.

"Say, why do I feel like I'm being treated like a hostage?"

"Huh?" He put up his blank face.

"You keep on staring at me and you haven't ordered anything so I don't see why this situation can't be referring to hostages."

"Very funny. Just be honoured that I'm actually keeping my rage to myself." He pouted.

"Wierdo~" I stretched the 'o' a bit longer.

After a few minutes, I finished my pastry and took my cappuccino in my hand and started sipping it.

"So.." I started and as soon as I grabbed his attention, from his phone, I continued, "I saw Tyler again today, we were on the same lift. I kinda fought with him but I ran away after he pulled me." I awkwardly told him in brief, missing the 'kiss'.

"Oh yeah." He pit his phone in his pocket and leaned in, "He's not like a manager like you said and like my prediction, he works at SME. He was recently recruited. I saw him hanging out with Baekhyun all his free time so I think maybe Baekhyun might know a better look on him than us for the time being."

"No. Way." I said in shock.

"What?"

"But.. Tyler.. He's a new recruit? But he hates people to be staring at him for more than a minute." I blurted.

"Well, I found out that his manager is quite an easy going person so I think I can manage some things about how he actually got in." Dan shrugged. "Oh shit. I came here to cheer you up and now here I go again!"

"It's alright. I'm done with my food, shall we go?" I smiled at him shortly.

"Sure." And with that, we drove off back to the SME Building.

"I feel much better now so thanks for that." I hugged him as we reached my car.

"No problem." He smiled at me.

"Anyways. See you tomorrow."

I went inside my car and fastened my seat belt and so did he then we both pulled our cars out to the roads and departed in our own ways.

I guess that did make me feel better after all. I smiled to myself.
