For a few hours, it had felt like everything was back to normal.
John was in his chair and Sherlock was in his. Mrs Hudson would often walk in to the room and give them food and drink. Sherlock had talked about cases and John has listened.
John had not felt happy like this for a while. He thought he was happy with Mary but, now he wasn't sure.
He was still at 221b when the reality of his situation hit him.
He still had to go back to Mary but, all he wanted to do was stay here in the place where he felt most comfortable.
His best friend sat by him and offered to get him something but, John just turned around and looked at his friend.
"No thank you. It's just stuff." Explained John as he sat up.
"You look tired." Stated Sherlock.
"Could I stay here tonight?" Asked John.
After Sherlock answered with a yes, John sent Mary, his girlfriend a text - just saying he was staying.
John walked to the bedroom and as he and Sherlock said goodnight to eachother - he felt like he did not want to leave.
