This story is a mix between the 90s anime and the crystal with some of my touch in it , I'll explain it in order
Kunzite and Zoisite always had a relationship that went further then a mentor-student or friend like relationship , unfortunately Zoisite was the only one that figured out what this feeling was , Kunzite on the other hand while always being sweet and affectionate towards Zoisite brushed it off as good friends and started dating Sailor Venus his reason ? He thought it would be good for both Earth and the Moon for the sailor soldiers who protect Princess Serenity to date the Four Heavenly Kings who protet Prince Endymion , when Zoisite was more then heart broken , to get over this pain he started dating Sailor Mercury it didn't work but he did get a new friend who he cared about just not in a romantic way ,then the war broke out and everyone died, when they were born on Earth they didn't know each other but when Queen Beryl was controlling them their love grew back , when Zoisite died it was Kunzite's turn to feel heart broken , luckily not only them but so did the the other two generals get a chance to live their lives again this time properly
