Riley's POV:
I woke up around 8 a.m on Shane's couch. He was still asleep and so was his roommate Last night had been fun. Shane, John, and I hung out like three long lost bestfriends, playing video games eating junk food, and joking around with eachother. It was a nice break from Nate I stayed on the couch for a little while and just looked up at the ceiling, thinking I hearJohn snore a little and toss and turn."Riley?" Came a tired voice. I looked over and noticed Shane was awake"Morning" I said and yawned and stretched."Hey" Shane said and did the same He got out of bed and scratched his bare chest, then lit up a cigarette."Your going to get lung cancer" I told him and stood up Shane would light up a Cig everytime he got killed in Nazi Zombie's last night. He wasnt very good at that game. Shane gave me a lazy smile and shrugged then held out the cigarrete to me. I took a couple drags and handed it back. I wasnt as bad of a smoker as Shane, but I had alot on my mind"I'm hungry" I announced. "Lets go get breakfast then" Shane said."Sounds good" I said with a giggle as my stomach growled"I'm gonna go get changed" I said and started making my way towards the door"I'll wake John up" Shane said with a devilish smile and grabbed a pillow off his bed I laughed and left the room before he woke up John I hummed to myself all the way down the hall and opened my dorm door I walked into the room and looked around, it was quiet and empty I was half relieved and half dissapointed. Then I heard the water running in the bathroom so I walked over to the open door to see who was here I peeked in to see Avery standing over the sink. "Hey" I said with a small smile."Oh! Hi Riley!" She gushed and walked past me into the main room"Where's Christian and Nate?" I asked her."Oh they just left for breakfast. I'm on my way to meet them. Want to come?" She informed me in a perky tone"I'm actually about to get breakfast with Shane" I told her. Avery nodded and asked"How was your night?""Good. Shane and I had a great time" I told her. Avery smiled and nodded. "So is he your boyfriend?" She asked with a raised eyebrow"No way. Shane and I are just good friends" I told her polietly. Why would she care? Avery flashed me a tight smile and nodded. "So your dating Christian then?" She asked with a snobby tone What was up? Avery seemed so nice before. Now all of a sudden she was becoming an icy bitch."I'm not dating anyone. Christian and I were just having fun last night, if you NEED to know" I informed Avery and took a step closer to her. She crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes at me."Well dont you dare think about having fun with my boyfriend" Avery said and put air quotes around having fun. I took a step back, which caused a sly grin to spread across Avery's face. Did she know something? Did Cameron tell her something?"Not that he would even come near a trashy whore like yourself" Avery said with an eye roll and grabbed her purse off the couch then left the room with a slam of the door I was too shocked to even come up with a retort so all I angrily grabbed clean clothes frommy dresser and quickly stripped off my pajamas and changed How dare she call me a trashy whore? I am NOT a whore. I wear clothes that cover my body. I've hardly even had a boyfriend. And yes, I'm a virgin I ran a quick brush through my hair then threw it up in a pony tail and walked back to Shane's room I threw the door open and stepped in the room Shane was in the middle of the room in his boxers and John was in the bathroom brushing his teeth"Ready?" I asked angrily. Shane chuckled and spun around in his boxers. "Do I look it?" I Sighed and said "Sorry" as he pulled on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt"Whats wrong? You look heated" Shane said at the same time John walked out of the bathroom"Avery just told me to stay away from Nate. Then she called me a trashy whore" I explained"Nate's girlfriend? That hot blonde he was walking around campus with the other day?" John asked"Thats the one. Your really not helping John" I snapped He laughed and held his hands up "Sorry sorry""Dont let her get to you Riley. She'll be gone in a couple days" Shane said and rubbed my arm in a comforting way I sighed again. "Your right""Come on. Lets go eat" He said and threw an arm around my shoulder as him, me and John made our way to the cafeteria.
Nate's POV:
"Come on Christian" I said and pulled my step-brother away from the fourth girl he flirted with this morning We walked into the crowded cafeteria and each grabbed a bowl of cerea then sat down"Don't you ever get tired of it?" I asked when I caught Christian winking at a cute brunnette across the room Christian laughed and shook his head. "Never" He told me."What about Riley?" I asked, not looking at him"What about her? I'm going to be leaving in a couple days, she'll forget about me, and i'll forget about her" I opened my mouth to say something but found someones arms being wrapped loosely around my neck then a kissed planted on my cheek"Hey baby" Avery cooed and sat next to me, kissing me hard"Hi Av" I greeted her. "Sleep well?" I asked and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear She nodded and smiled then took a bite of her french toast."Oh look!" Avery cried. "Its Riley. Why dosent she sit with us?" I snapped into focus at the mention of Riley and saw her walkingthrough the cafeteria with John and Shane"RILEY! OVER HERE!" Avery called with a huge smile. Riley looked over at us with a blank expression then tugged on Shane's hand and said something to him, then did the same to John, and all three of them started walking towards us."Hey guys" Riley said with a smile then sat across from me. John sat across from Avery and Shane sat across from Christian"Christian this is Shane and John. Johh, Shane, this is Nate's step-brother Christian". Riley introduced everyone to eachother except Avery then bit into her bagel without even looking at me. Christian stared at Shane, obviously recognizing him as the guy who Riley spent the night with"Nice lip ring man" Christian said in an almost disgusted tone"Nice haircut. Had one just like it when I was seven" Shane shot right back with the same amount of venom in his voice. Riley took a huge bite of her bagel to hold back a laugh."So how was your night Christian?" Riley asked after she was done chewing"Great. I was pretty tired so I crashed right after you left" He told Riley with a smile. She smiled back and turned her attention back to her bagel She still hadnt looked at me, not once."How was your night Riley?" I asked"Fine" She responded without looking up"Thats...good" I said."So what are we going to do today Natey?" Avery asked in a sweet voice and slid closer to me. Shane slid closer to Riley and nudged her arm. She looked up at him and they both had to hold back laughter. Did I miss something?"Um. Whatever your up for" I told Avery She smiled and leaned in close and kissed me deeply. I only half-returned the kiss, I was never really a fan of PDA so I gently pushed Avery back a little and broke the kiss Out of the corner of my eye, I thought I saw her shoot Riley a dirty look."What are you doing today Riley?" Christian asked"Nothing I guess" Riley said."Why dont we all hang out! All of us could go back to the room" I suggested before Christian could open his mouth and suggest something him and Riley could do as just the two of them"I'm in" Christian said happily. "Sure" Riley said, with little enthusiasm. "Ok" John agreed. "Whatever" Shane said in the same tone as Riley, "Sounds fun!" Avery agreed in the complete opposite tone as Riley"Ok...well then when we all are done eating we can head back" I said and took another bite of my now soggy frosted flakes"I'm done now" Avery said. "Why dont you and I head back to the room now" She continued and gave me a flirty smile."I'm done" Riley announced and looked at Avery"I'm done" Christian then said and pushed his bowl back, looking at Riley"I'm done" Shane and John said and looked at Christian"Ok..." I said awkwardly and started to stand up"Lets ALL go back to the room then" I said and waited for everyone to get up off the table, thenled the way back to the room hand in hand with Avery.
