Fawn Brooks, the adopted sister of Boa Hancock, was kidnapped from her ship and sold into slavery at age 12. Four years later, she is freed, but can't keep up with her sister and friends. She stays on the same island for three mo...
I was jolted awake when a sudden weight collapsed on my body. Sitting upright, I blinked multiple times to fully wake up, before looking down to notice Koala staring at me with gigantic eyes and a wide smile.
"Koala....what the-?"
"Fawn! Northern lights! They're outside! Come on!" She grabbed my hand, dragging me out of bed, throwing my clothes at me. I put them on, setting a hand on her head to calm her down. I brushed my hair and put my hat on, letting Koala lead me outside. I was still rubbing my eyes even as I walked on the deck of the ship.
"What time is it?"
"I don't know! But look!!" Once I felt most of the sleep escape my eyes, I opened them and gasped instantly.

The sight was absolutely beautiful. The color illuminated the water and stretched as far as the eye could see. It truly was worth it to get up at this hour.
"Wow, Koala. This is amazing." Looking around, I saw that the fishman just kinda...didn't care. Have they seen this before? Back during slavery, we weren't allowed to take breaks. One time there was a meteor shower happening and one girl stopped to gaze at the sky and they saw her and.....she-. I shook my head, slapping my cheeks to get rid of the memory.
"Hey Fawn?" I glanced down at Koala, who was holding on to my leg.
"Yes?" She hesitated for a second before giving me a small smile.
"I, uh, didn't tell you, but yesterday, Layla sent a package with a shell in it." I raised an eyebrow as she held up a large purple shell with white specks on it.
"Huh...I've never seen something like this before," I told her, taking it. I passed it back and forth in my hands.
"It's called a Tone Dial." I jumped a little at the voice behind me. Jinbe.
"E-Eh?"
"Tone Dials are known to record anything, words, music," he explained. Koala and I nodded. Koala then handed me a piece of paper.
"It came with this," she told me. I took the paper and read over what it said.
Hey Fawn!
Really hope this reaches you. Just wanted to tell you that we miss you! Play the Tone Dial! We're sure the Sun Pirates would love to hear you sing again! Love ya! Layla, Lily, Arianna, Rosie
I blushed. I missed them too, but I didn't know if I even wanted to do this. I felt a tug on my skirt and looked down to make eye contact with Koala.
