~George's POV~

I was woken up from loud yelling and stomping from the stairs 

"GEORGE FOUND! GET YOUR LAZY BOTTOM OUT OF BED, YOU ARE LATE!" I heard my mother scream as she ran into my room and slapped me across the face

"Ow, got it got it" I groan as I get out of bed and stretch with a yawn, 

"You better get it, you have 10 minutes to get ready and I'll drive you,  you clearly don't have time to walk" she said in frustration as she walked back out of my room leaving my door open 

I groan wanted to go back to sleep, but thankfully it's Friday, which means no school tomorrow. 

But it's also the same Friday Clay and I have the project to do. I used to be the nerd in my past school, I'm not crazy smart by any means, I just actually did the work while others didn't

I got ready as quickly as possible, which didn't take much time saying I don't put much effort into how I look. I go to school for the education not for popularity 

I grab my backpack and shove my phone into my pants pocket and head downstairs to put on my shoes, my mother liked having our shoes in the mud room, which was right by the front door 

My mum drives me to school and just drops me off, saying she has work and all. 

I had around 7 minutes till my first class started, and I wanted to be there a few minutes early 

So I just decided to head to class and just sit in there for a while, so I start walking that way but stopping at my locker. I have my backpack now but I still like to only carry a few books at a time 

I opened my locker and removed two books from my bag and placed them carefully into my locker and shutting it then I basically got scared to death 

"Hey Georgie~" Clay said in a lower tone with a smirk on his face, I slightly jump at his sudden words. I roll my eyes a sigh 

"Hi, now what do you want Clay?" I asked annoyed, he leans his arm on the lockers next to nine and connects eye contact 

"Just wanted to say hi" he says with a I'm so innocent face 

"Class is going to start soon and I still have to walk over to it, so if you don't mind I need to go" I say while pushing past him then getting pulled back by my wrist, I just assumed it was Clay 

I just so happened to be right 

"C-can I walk you to class?" He asks with a little stutter while not connecting eye contact 

'What happened to the flirty cocky Clay?' 

I was very surprised when I heard Clay stutter for the first time, I honestly believed he couldn't, but I was shown wrong I guess 

"We are going to the same class, that's the point in asking?" I said

"Oh- right, sorry" he said softly, we continued to walk to our first class 

~time skip no one likes ✨school✨ 3rd person~

It's now lunch and Clay and George were the only ones at the table, their class had gotten out early(A/N ok so I'm reading I've this and it seems to be a bit confusing, so I'm just gonna explain it here. So Clay and George have 3 classes together, the first class of the day,  the one right before lunch and the last class)

"What did you mom pack you for lunch?" Clay said trying to make conversation 

"Why would it matter towards you?" George snapped back, Clay was slightly surprised by Georges response

"Geez, chill I just wanted to make conversation" Clay said with a slight frown on his face, George rolls his eyes 

"Sorry, she just packed me a sandwich if you really wanted to know" he said with a sigh 

Clay was about to say something but was interrupted by basically the rest of the group sitting at the round table 

"Did your class get out early?" Niki asked as she smiled and sat next to George, George nods as Clay turns to Nick and Karl 

Everyone started either talking to people next to them, or started eating

After a bit Niki towards George and asked a question 

"Have you seen around town yet George?" She asked while putting down her tuna sandwich

"I haven't yet, I've only seen the school and well you know" he said with a little smile, she giggles and nods her head 

"Yeah I understand, but why don't we go tomorrow? I like for who ever can come and join us?" She asked with a slight nervousness 

"Oh yeah, for sure I was actually hoping I could get someone to take me around" he said while looking down a bit

When Clay heard this he stopped talking to Nick and slowly appeared right behind George, his head almost on George's shoulder and spoke 

"You could have asked me Georgie" Clay said softly basically into George's ear, George lightly jumped at the sudden sound, he turned around and gave Clay a stern look 

"I didn't for a reason you jock" he said while rolling his eyes and turned his back towards Clay and faced Niki. She just sat there giggling at what had just happened in front of her 

"I'll text everyone and see who can make it, and I'll need your phone number for your address and stuff" she said with a excited smile on her face, George nodded and handed her his phone as she typed in her number and pasted it back to George
