'I'm aware of that, Mr. Nullings. The way she limped over made signs that something was off.'
She stroked my hair and sighed, before wrapping me in her arms again.
'My dear, are you alright?'
I nodded. 'Other then my leg, of course.'
I looked at her in the eyes.
'Miss, we have to talk about something, it's serious.'
She nodded.
'May I come too?' asked Millard.
'I don't mind.' I said.
'Jacob, you should probably come, too.'
He nodded and followed us into the room.

'I'll start from the top.' I said as I explained what had happened and how I got there.
Miss Peregrine placed a stern looking expression on her face.
'What did she say to you?'
I took in a deep breath.
'She said that-' I paused before looking up at her.
With slight hesitation, she nodded.
'Caul said that the female Wights would have never been as great as him. She wants to prove him wrong. So she kidnapped multiple loops.'
'But then, why did she take you?' asked Jacob.

I took in a deep breath.
'Some of the peculiars escaped. The invisibles escaped.'
Millard's eyes widened in realisation. He patted my arm.
'Are you saying-'
'Yes...she wants me to betray the Peculiardom, to help her. But obviously I refused.'
I said, my face hardening. 'I would rather die then be a betrayer.'
'That's....very loyal.' said Millard.
'I haven't gotten to the main part though.' I said, leaning towards Miss Peregrine and lowering my voice.
'What is the main part?' she asked.
'Remember how I said that she wants to prove him wrong?'
She nodded.
'Well, I fear that she's going to want to do what he always wanted but never successed to do.'
'I know what you mean...' she said, sitting up right in her chair.
'Oh God...' said Jacob.

Millard stood up. 'Well, that's not going to happen! We won't let them take Miss Peregrine or Katelyn.'
