Part Eleven:Time

(Y/N POV)
I ate the last bit of my ramen before putting the bowl in my sink. Bailey pawed at my leg while whining."Oh yeah I still gotta feed you some dinner." I filled her food bowl with some kibble which she gobbled right up. After a good day of thinking I know what to say to her. It's all my fault. She's probably hurt. Bailey finished up her food and climbed up on my bed."Hey you're suppose to sleep on the couch." The fur ball barked at me making me smile a little."Alright alright you can sleep on the bed with me. But only for tonight then off you go to the couch." I hopped in bed while my dog rested on top of my chest. Slowly we both fell asleep. At around two hours into our sleep her ears perked up and she began to growl. Of course that woke me up."What is it girl?" She hopped off the bed and growled at the door. This isn't good. Before I knew it two men burst through the door. Crap. Bailey hid under my bed while I charged towards them. I managed to tackle one. He was wearing a mask that I punched straight through. He was knocked out. The next one to my surprise let out a long spear like kagune from his arm. I swiftly dodged as he attempted to pierce my torso with it. I grabbed the kagune before quickly snapping it in two. With that I stabbed the ghoul through his heart. I watched as the life slowly drained from his eyes. My eyes darted back to the ghoul who was on the floor but disappeared. I was then stabbed through my arm by a kagune. It was a deep and damaging wound. While I laid on the floor immobile the ghoul squirted lighter fluid all over the floor. Fuck. Please don't. Shit. He lit a match and tosses it on the floor lighting it ablaze. Bailey charged at the ghoul and bit his leg."Dumb dog." He kicked her into a wall causing her to yelp in pain. Before I knew it he was gone leaving behind his friends body. Shit I need to get up and get Bailey. I groaned in pain as I got up and grabbed my dog who was thankfully still breathing. I tried going for the front door but the flames blocked it. There was only one way out now. The window. I made a run for it but the flames covered it as well. Fuck. We're trapped.
(Touka's POV)
My day so far has been pretty crappy. The only good news I've got today is that Y/N knows what actually happened. But other than that I've been stuck studying for an upcoming math final. I just wish he could be here with me to help out like he usually did. Yoriko said that he told her he just needed some time. Wonder what for. Crap I can't stay focused. He's all I can think about. Maybe some coffee will calm me down a little. Getting up I looked out my window to see a fire. Meh, someone probably already called the fire department. Wait what the fuck that's Y/N's apartment! Quickly I ran out of my apartment into the cold night air. I ran to the entrance but it was blocked by fire. Crap. I can hear coughing."Y/N-Kun! I'm gonna try and get you out!" I yelled as more smoke plumed out of the building."Don't! It's to hot! Wait outside I'm gonna try and jump through the window!" He yelled back. Alright. I rushed back outside and waited. Nothing happened until he came crashing out of the two story window with a dog in his arms. Quickly I caught them using my kagune before anyone could see."Are you okay?" I asked as we both slowly got up."Y-Ya I'm fine. Thanks for the help." We could only watch as the apartment along with the book store burned down. After what seemed like five minutes the fire department finally arrived. It took awhile before they could put out the fire. Y/N. I couldn't figure out what his emotions were. His face at the moment held no emotion. Except his eyes, his eyes held a whole lot of anger. Once the fire was out we went through the complex. Something shiny in the ashes and rubble caught my eye. I walked over to it to find a small metal box. I opened it to see a number of things. A gold band ring, dog tags and a photo. That photo was him and I when we had gone camping another time with just us alone. We were in a sleeping bag together sharing a kiss. He walked over and looked at what I was holding before smiling a little. The police and fire department questioned us for a little while before releasing us."You should come over to my place so I can take care of your shoulder." Y/N sighed a little. Is he going to say no?"Thanks I need somewhere to spend the night anyways. Plus I don't feel like annoying Yoriko at this time of night." Yes! Maybe we can finally talk about us. Once we arrived back in my apartment he sat his dog on my couch. After that he sat himself at the edge of my bed facing away from me. I sat next to him with my medical supplies and began treating his wound."Touka-Chan we need to talk." Okay here goes nothing."Ya I've been meaning to talk to you about something." We both took in deep breaths before he said,"Listen. About me breaking up with you. I'm sorry. I was a total idiot about the situation. I just should've listened to you and trust you instead of acting like a child. Yoriko told me everything. I'm really sorry for acting in the way I did. I hope you can forgive me." Damn it. I wasn't expecting that. Am I crying? Hot tears flowed down my face."I-It's okay you didn't know." We then hugged. God I missed his touch, his smell and his voice. They always put me at ease. We separated the hug."I love you Touka. I really do, and I promise not to hurt you ever again." Damn this cute bastard. We kissed, it was long and passionate. I pulled away first needing to breathe before leaning my head on his shoulder."I'm really sorry." I sighed as I laid down."Quit apologizing. Just come here and lay down." He did as I told him. Y/N was always so warm. I snuggled into him close wrapping my arms around him."It was ghouls who did it." What?"Are you sure?" He nodded before saying,"I killed one, his body must've gotten burnt up in the fire but the other one had poured lighter fluid all over my apartment. I'm pretty sure I was targeted." But who would do that? Unless,"You don't think it's," He began saying before I cut him off."It's more than likely Shuu. I thought he was dead but I guess not. He gets really obsessive over humans he wants. I need to kill him before he kills you." There was a moment before Y/N held my hand."You're not going alone. I don't like people fighting my battles." I pecked his lips and said,"I don't need you getting hurt dumby but alright. Just don't do anything stupid once we have an attack planned out. We need to get it done soon because he won't stop until he has you or until you're dead." Just like many times before, he moved his head and rested it against my chest."We'll get them so don't worry. Sleep for now I'm sure you're tired." So he did. My boyfriend slowly fell asleep in my arms. Soft snores came out as his back rose up and down."Goodnight, I love you." I placed a gentle kiss on his forehead before turning off the light and falling asleep. Once morning arrived I looked down at Y/N. He looked so peaceful in his sleep. I almost don't wanna wake him up. Carefully I stroked his hair. Slowly his eyes cracked open as a smile formed on his face."Good morning Touka-Chan." I propped my head up and smiled at him but his soon dissolved."Hey I know you're still sad about your apartment and shop. It helps when you talk about things." He only groaned. I sighed before getting up and out of bed."How about some coffee?" No response. Maybe it's best to leave him alone for a little. I poured some coffee I had made into two mugs before walking back to my bed."Y/N I got you some coffee so sit up before I make you." I heard a soft laugh as he got up and sat next to me. He grabbed the mug from my hand and thanked me. We both took sips of our drinks before looking over at the puppy that rested on my couch."When did you get the dog?" I asked."Not to long ago. I found her outside a grocery store and decided to keep her. I named her Bailey." Her ears perked up bearing her name. She's such a cutie."So how long are you gonna let me stay here before you kick me to the curb?" I almost spit out my coffee."I'd never. Stay as long as you need. Even if that's forever." I said making us both smile."Thank you. But I'm gonna feel bad if you just let me stay here rent free." Well I do have one idea."Maybe you could work here at the cafe. That way you don't have to worry about getting a job at some trashy place. Plus I'd get to see you even more which is a plus." He seemed to like the idea."That doesn't sound to bad actually. I can make a pretty good cup of coffee I'd say. Also I have a question to ask, is everyone that works here a ghoul?" He knows?"How did you find out?" A look of surprise made it's way to his face."Oh I just heard rumors but I never thought they were true. I guess those rumors were true." I pecked his lips before saying,"It'd be pretty funny to see you in one of our uniforms." Y/N pouted."Why would it be funny?" He asked smiling a little as he sipped the rest of his coffee."It's just our uniforms aren't really made for men your size. They're meant for more thinner men." Crap I worded that wrong."What are you calling me fat?" "No no it's just your muscles are kinda big." That damn bastard knew what he was doing. He made me say it. Damn it now he's smiling."Ah so you think my muscles are big Touka-Chan?"
(Third Person)
Touka's face heated up bright red."Shut up idiot. Now stay here and wash up I need to go speak to my manager." He nodded as she threw on a hoodie and some sweats before leaving the room. Y/N took a good whiff of himself. He smelt like fire. Before hopping in the shower he threw his dirty clothes in the wash. The shower itself wasn't all that big considering it wasn't made for someone his size. Once out he dries off and wrapped the towel around his waist. After that he tossed his clothes into the dryer and waited. While he waited for his clothes to finish up Touka came back."Put some damn clothes on you bastard!" She yelled whilst looking away with a bright pink tint visible on her cheeks."What? You don't want to see what's under my towel?" This caused her to blush even more."N-No it's n-not that b-but," He laughed before cutting her off."Oh so you do? Perv." Y/N laughed at his visibly embarrassed girlfriend."You're lucky I love you. You bastard. I was gonna tell you that the manager wants to talk to you whenever you're ready about that job." He grabbed his clothes from the dryer."Sure just let me get dressed."
