And here's part two!
After only a few (failed) attempts at begging for a different dare, I was in the store, stalking around the aisles like a pro. Forget photography, I should become a ninja!
My mad ninja skills were put to the test when the first wave of fans spotted me. Harry and I had been hiding out for a good three hours, yet these girls were still hanging around here, waiting.
Well, at least they were learning patience. Gotta give them some credit.
“It’s her!” one girl shouted in full-on battle cry. “Get her!”
“You’ll never catch me alive!” I screeched, turning on my heels down a different aisle. Ah, the canned meats aisle. No one would think to look here, right? I mean, who would willingly hide with the SPAM? Other than me, of course…
More screams broke my trance. Shit. I’ve been spotted! Glancing around, I saw a worker putting away a bunch of boxes off a cart. Without a second thought, I was shoving him out of the way and behind the massive crates of food.
“Hey! What gives?!” the sixteen-year-old looking girl complained. From what I could see, which wasn’t much from my position, she was pretty pissed.
A sudden idea came to me. Genius. “I’ll let you meet Harry Styles if you do me a favor.”
Stunned, she could only nod.
“If anyone comes over and asks for a girl who looks like me, point them in the wrong direction. That’s all you have to do.”
“And how exactly do you know Mr. Styles?” Well. She was smarter than I gave her credit for.
I thought for a moment. “He’s…uh…he’s staying with me right now. Yeah. We’re very close…I could set you up on a date!” I offered.
The worker still didn’t really believe me, but I guess she thought she had nothing to lose, because when the fans came over, she covered for me.
“Oh yeah! I just saw her walk down to the frozen food section! She was muttering something about frozen carrots…?” I heard a group of footsteps wander off someplace else, and I braved revealing my hiding spot.
Hands on her hips, the girl gave me an expectant look. “I want a date with Niall. Here’s my card.” She handed me a small business card, complete with hearts circling around her name. Lucy. Lucy Jameson.
I thanked her and told her we would be in touch. Thinking I was good to go back to the butchery, I was making my way there when I realized something.
The Nutella.
Shit.
Where was I going to find more? Harry and I had been fighting over the last jar - surely there were no more on the shelf already. Figuring there was no way I’d ever find where Harry’d dropped it, I continued on my way back.
“It’s you!” A girl said. I looked around. Nope. No one else here.
“Me?” I asked her. She couldn’t have been a fangirl - she wouldn’t have been that calm…
A gentle laugh escaped her. “Yeah, you. I think your boyfriend dropped this earlier. I figured you’d want it, seeing as it IS Nutella and all…” A jar appeared from out of her basket. “By the way, do you have any idea what has been going on here? The store is crazy! It’s taking me forever to get everything I need…”
In a trance, I took the jar. “Th-thank you. You have NO IDEA how much you just helped me. And I have no idea what’s been going on…”
“Oh. Alrighty then. And it’s no problem! See ya around!” The mystery savior was about to leave, but I grabbed her forearm.
