"H-how did you come up with that? My father..." Seokhoon's eyes wandered aimlessly, trying to take everything in as he stuttered. Yeona looked away, turning towards the door to leave.
"He was the only one who wasn't at the party along with my father, what else am I meant to think?" Yeona walked away, concealing all the overwhelming feeling she was experiencing. She couldn't go to back to her home. She couldn't let anyone see her red eyes, and sorrow body. She ran as fast as she can to the 50th floor garden, hiding from everyone.
"Why must it be Ju Dantae, aish," Yeona mumbled to herself, throwing her head back in annoyance. It just had to be Seokkyung and Seokhoon's father. The villain to this story. There was no evidence apart from him not attending the party. At the time he had an alibi but she did not believe it one bit. Weak and low is what she was during the tragedy. She needed protection. But now, she must protect her family and the ones she loved, even if it means for trouble.
Seola and Kiyeon sat in the piano room, practising her vocals since she will be returning to school soon. He played the piano gently, on a calm tempo for her to be able to catch up. He smiled at her voice, even if she was in an accident, her voice was still beautiful. They both stopped playing and singing, taking a seat on the lounge chair.
"Do you remember anything from that night?" Kiyeon said softly, smiling to make sure that the tension wouldn't be too intense. Seola nodded her head looking him in the eyes.
"All I remember so far is running through a corridor and meeting a girl but I don't know who it is," Seola smiled sadly as she wasn't helping her own situation. Kiyeon thought for a moment. There were many suspects at the Hera Palace, too many.
"Are you sure it wasn't Yeona, she was with you until you split up?" Seola shook her head.
"The first part that I remember is splitting with Yeona and then I met this girl," Kiyeon sighed in defeat. There was no progress, but they can't rush it. He took her hand and walked to the kitchen. They were stopped by an elegant lady, talking to Chaeyeong.
"Kiyeon ah, let Suryeon talk with Seola for a while," Kiyeon raised his eyebrows but let go of her hand, smiling as encouragement. She was about to find out who her mother is. Birth mother. Chaeyeong wrapped her arms around her son laughing like a mother-son duo.
"Have you seen your sister?" Kiyeon shook his head, looking around the room. No one has realised she hasn't come out.
Yeona wiped her face with her sleeve and opened the door to leave. Before she even made it out, her steps were prevented by him. Seokhoon. He looked at her and saw her tear stained cheeks, her eyes red with a combination of sad and anger.
"Can we just talk, for a minute?" Yeona turned her heal and sunk down in the chair. Seokhoon sat a fair distance away and ruffled his hair.
"If my father did all that, I still don't see why, I know we can't be together-" His words got cut off and Yeona stood up in fury.
"We are not Romeo and Juliet Ju Seokhoon! I don't care if you think that, I will not be able to spend my free time with you knowing that your father might've killed my father," She took a break to study his face. All hope he had when he ran into her disappeared.
"They were happy to be together even if their family disapproved, now tell me, would you be happy to be with me? Will I be able to find happiness and avenge my fathers death by being with you?" Seokhoon sat in silence but did not break his eye contact.
"No. Once I punish the killer, I will be leaving, somewhere far, somewhere my father would like," Yeona wiped her tears that rolled down while she spoke. She couldn't stand seeing him in this condition, let alone when he gets even more involved with her.
"Okay, I get it, just know that I will never forget the things we did together, before you left," Seokhoon ended the conversation, leaving the girl alone. She sat back down and sobbed all her memories away. He was still standing behind the door, hearing every word. Unknowing, his tears ran down hearing her cry.
If only he didn't die, if only.
Yeona and Seokhoon were happy. Spending time together everyday, going to cinemas, practising music. Everything was great. There was no drama. Yeona was happy for once.
But all good things must come to an end. Even love. It was their fate. No one can change fate. There nothing that couldn't stopped what happened. Yeona and Seokhoon once loved each other to the point of being inseparable.
He slid down the door, covering his face with his hands, trying to be as quiet as he could however, Yeona could hear everything, she was with him but a door was separating the two, like they have to be apart in real life.
There was nothing that could help them, especially in this situation.
As time goes one, the strong Yeona becomes more broken, the powerful Kiyeon is no longer powerful and the boy with much love becomes someone with no love.
No matter what, no one will win unless they defeat.
Ju Dantae.
Seokhoon hated him. If he didn't exists, everyone would've been happy, even the affair of Cheon Seojin wouldn't have happened.
I will kill you. Ju Seokhoon was going to fight, even if it means he has to go further from Yeona
