"𝓪𝓶 𝓲 𝓽𝓸𝓸 𝓵𝓪𝓽𝓮?" ricky called as him and arabella ran into the auditorium. nini stood on stage staring at the two holding hands, she couldn't help but feel a twig of jealousy. "we're all set on troys. were low on chads. you can read after the gabriella's" ms. jenn spoke to ricky as the two reached the stage. arabella stood next to ricky playing with his fingers out of nervousness, standing in front of the entire drama department.
"i only studied the troy scenes in the movie" ricky spoke staring at his and bella's intertwined hands. "troy would have arrived on time" arabella couldn't help but giggle at the statement, seeing as troy was late to literally everything.
nini stood on stage, awaiting a response on when to begin. as ej cheered, ms. jenn to spilled coffee on the electrical panel and the lights to go out.
"nobody panic. nini, let's wait for the lights to come back on. i don't want this to throw you." ms. jenn told the girl. "i'm not thrown" nini spoke before she began. ricky looked at bella as she nodded, releasing ricky's hand as he went to spotlight nini as ej did the same.
as nini finished ms. jenn called for ricky "you, late boy. let's do the chad sides."
while the boy recited his line, arabella kept a smile on her face. instead of watching ricky, ej's eyes were on arabella, he had no clue as to why he felt jealous, when the two entered and now as they looked at each other.
ashlyn had told ej, about how he had hurt arabella. the first two months he didn't ignore her on purpose, he was so caught up in school and sports there was no time to call.
as time passed it just kept getting harder, to call or even talk to the girl. he never meant to hurt her, he loved her. she was the first girl he loved, yet that was unbeknownst to both him and arabella.

gina had joined one of the dancers she met at the warm ups. leaving ashlyn and arabella walking out of the auditorium, talking and laughing as they made their ways through the hallway. "how come you never showed me that song" ashlyn had asked arabella. ashlyn knew exactly who the song was about, "love you to the moon and to saturn" had been a quote among the two caswell's and the wood's girl as children. "it wasn't that important it was just a silly song i wrote."
as the two walked together, they heard footsteps around the corner, turning their heads to see the caswell boy. "what the hell was that" ej hissed, arabella couldn't believe that after having not talked to the boy in three years and that being his opening statement. "ej what are you talking about" ashlyn exclaimed, she could tell her cousin was jealous of the growing friendship between ricky and bella, she wasn't an idiot, she knew her cousins feelings.
"what?" arabella asked completely oblivious to what ashlyn knew. "that. that song. running in with ricky. holding hands with him. what was that." ej snapped. arabella stood in shock, she couldn't believe that this whole time they went to school, shared classes, saw each other in hallways, this was what made him talk to her.
as arabella went to respond, she was cut off by ms. jenn and the rest of the theater rushing down the hall. "clear" carlos called as they raced down, ashlyn pulled arabella down the hall with the rest of the group to the east high glass case.
the two found their way to the front after earing noises of excitement and disappointment. "oh my god" ashlyn gasped as she shook her friends arm. after seeing nini's audition arabella knew at best she would be getting some background character. arabella looked to carlos, as he gave a smile to the girl.
