I stumbled back out of surprise, Luz was frozen with fear as Eda's head landed in her arms. Eda's tongue stuck out and for a moment it didn't move.

"Ow! Oh, I hate when that happens!"  Luz and I understandably screamed and Luz nearly dropped her head.

"What the heck-! How are you still alive!" I said waving my hands towards her.

"Eda are you okay?" Luz said, panic lacing her voice.

"Yeah, this just happens when you get older." Luz and I shared a very concerned look.

"Does it?!" Luz called out, while I contemplated how in the heck that was possible. But my mind quickly dropped the subject. Perhaps the universe had just made them that way.

"Finally," The warden said, transforming the blade that he had used back into his hand. "I have you cornered Eda the Owl Lady." He then, silently took the crown from King's hands, King in turn letting out a confused squeak. He walked closer to Luz, Eda, and I, with King in tow. "My guards could never get you, but I knew if I took your pet's toy, you'd come running." He clenched his fist, destroying the burger queen crown.

"NOOO! MY POWER!" King cried reaching out a paw towards the crumbled ball that was once one of his most prized possessions.

Eda glared at the warden, scowling. "What do you want with me? I've never actually broken any of your stupid laws... in front of you."

"I want you..." He produced a bouquet of flowers from who knows where and wait... is this going where I think it's going? OH CRUD IT- "To go on a date with me." And there it is.

"Wha?" Eda said confused.

"What?" Luz said disgusted.

"Wh-" I was about to question why he was going after Eda when one of the two guards cheered, I hadn't even noticed creeping up behind us.

"Go boss!" They said sending a thumbs up towards the said warden. The warden sent him a grateful thumbs up and continued on with his speech.

"You've always eluded our capture. You've always been the one that got away. I found that alluring." Wrath said answering my last thought in a way that made me want to bash his head in.

"I hate everything you're saying right now." Luz said.

"You stay out of this!" And with that he tossed the bouquet over his shoulder and turned his hand into several tentacles, launching them towards Luz and I. They held us above the ground while Wrath focused his attention back on Eda, who Luz had dropped. "So how about it, Owl Lady?" He picked Eda up by her hair. "The most powerful witch of the Boiling Isles and the feared Warden Wrath. We'd be the strongest power couple ever. I mean, it's‐ it's not like you can say no right now."

Eda looked around at all of us, she looked to us first who were struggling in the grasp of the warden then to King who had just been picked up by a guard. She sighed. "All right, Warden. You win. I'd just like to say something first. Come closer. No. Just come a little bit closer. Just... Yeah, that's good." With the warden's face as close as Eda could get, she blew a raspberry right into his mask.

The warden yelped, dropping us onto the hard stone below.

"Ow." I said rubbing the bruise on my knee. Quickly Luz and I got to our feet squaring off with the massive warden in front of us.

"Impudent wench! Don't you know how many germs are in your mouth? Blegh!" He wiped his mask and we could feel the glare burning into Eda. "If you don't accept, then I have no choice but to des‐ Oh!" We had snuck behind the warden and struck him in the head with Eda's staff, rendering him stunned for the moment.
