CW/TW: swearing, blood mention

Quackity POV:

We got to their car, which was just an old Toyota from two-thousand and six, and they just started driving. They never answered my questions about where we were going, usually just telling me to shut up or just ignoring me in general.

I looked at the time on the car dash and it read 5:36 a.m. we had driven throughout the night and into the next day, all without me realizing it. Guess I really am losing my sense of time, at least it's not my humor, thank god.

"Where are we going?" I asked once more. "For the last time Shut up and be quiet." Schlatt growled. Someone woke up on the wrong side of the car seat this morning.

"Be nice Schlatt. We're going to DC." Charlie replied, glaring at his friend. "Why?" I asked. "Doesn't matter, shut up." Schlatt said rather aggressively. I just sighed and looked out the car window like the main character I am.

We drove throughout the city, eventually pulling up to a place I had only ever seen in pictures.

The White House. We were at the fucking White House.

Schlatt stopped the car and we all got out. I always just about to ask why we were here again, but stopped myself cause I was only going to get the same answer I had gotten before.

Schlatt opened the trunk of the vehicle and pulled out several guns. He handed one to Charlie, strapped one to his back and held another in his hand. He looked at me before reaching back twists the trunk, assuming to give me my own weapon. He proceeded to stir the trunk and walk towards the gates.

I was baffled. I mean I understood why, they only met me a few hours ago, but still.

"Sorry about him. He's not one to trust new people easily. Here," Charlie said, handing me a small knife. "Since you don't have anything with you." He finished. I smiled at him and took the knife.

"C'mon!" Schlatt yelled. "I wanna see if anybody else has had my idea so I can kill 'em."

"He always this mad?" I asked, jogging over to Schlatt, Charlie by my side. "Not always, just when agitated." He replied.

We got over to Schlatt, who just slammed the butt of the gun down onto a giant lock on the gate that then broke it.

Schlatt pushed the gate open and we started walking towards the building. The building itself still stood perfectly fine. It was just the fact that there was over growth of all sorts of plant starting to crawl their way up to consume the whole thing.

We walked inside of the building and started walking around, turning down random corridors with weird shape and color names.

The inside of the White House was terrifying. It was dark, several potted plants broken, shards of glass on the ground from shattered windows. And blood smeared on the floor and walls, assuming from people trying to get away from the dead, but were painfully unlucky.

We turn and walk up some stairs and down another long hallway just to be met with about thirteen zombies all in business wear. Schlatt started shooting at them, taking them all down one shot at a time.

I sat in disgust and awe at what he did. 'I wonder what official he murdered' I wondered. "Let's keep moving." He said, walking down the hallway, stepping over the bodies. Charlie did the same, but I couldn't. I took at few steps to I was closer, but still several feet from the dead.

I couldn't walked over them, what if one of them grabbed my foot and ate it. The thought sent shivers down my spine. "C'mon don't be a pussy, they're dead, let's go." Schlatt yelled, more agitated than he was previously.

But I couldn't. I just stood there, my focus going from the dead on the floor to Schlatt and Charlie. "C'mon. I don't have all day!" He yelled again.

Out of nowhere a zombie just sat up and started crawling at me, several of them were actually. I just screamed and jumped onto the nearest table and closed my eyes.

I heard gunshots ring throughout the room, then felt someone pick me up from where I was cowering and carry me a few feet before being dropped onto the ground. "You're welcome. Don't do that again. Just listen." Schlatt mumbled before walking into a room.

I stood up and followed behind Charlie into the same room. I looked around at my surrounding and recognized where we were standing. The Oval Office. What the hell.

"Welcome to your new home boys. Get ready. We're going to run this country and whoever is left of it. Then we go for world domination. Got it?" Schlatt stated, sitting in the chair behind the former presidents desk, his feet on the desk top.

I have never felt as many mixed emotions as o feel right now. Why world domination? Why here? And why didn't I just bang my fist against the wall to L'Manburg and make them let me in so I would be safe?

It was already too late to think about that though. And the regret finally hit me.
