It was obvious enough isn't it? Slavery is frowned upon by multiple higher ranking men and even majority of the commoners and middle class people loath this certain way of gaining money and workers.
Shoyo, the slave that was just bought by the Rulers of their Empire. It wasn't a secret that his opinions on slavery was malicious, he hated how people, him, were victims of being sold off just for the benefit of money as if they were just food that can be bought, eaten and then discarded to trash. They were humans too, well, they were before their humanity was scrapped off after they heard the news of them being used as workers by force and no choice.
The only thing they could hope for, as a slave, was only to get a Master that could treat them atleast like their pet and not just some changeable trash they were forced to believe.
