{ preface }

                I’m sick of reading the same teen fiction story over and over and over again with no distinction between them. No, this is not a rant about how all plots follow the same “cliché” outline, but rather about how every single story is written the same way. I am not encouraging cliché plots, but rather, I’m encouraging better writing with personal hints and tips directed towards teen fiction, romance, and humor writers.

                These are not die-hard tricks and tips; there are exceptions to everything. I’m merely stating some things that have worked for me as a writer and that have appealed to me as a picky reader. I’m not saying I’m an expert either, but I’ve read enough stories both on and off Wattpad to know what appeals to a reader and what doesn’t.

                So could you say this is a rant of some sorts? Possibly, but I’m also trying to be helpful, so feel free to ask questions or point of some things that work for you.
