Hello there :) thanks for reading!! This is a story I've been dreaming of and loosely writing for awhile. I wanted a fic where all the characters are all around dark. I think we've been lacking in the dark main girl for a while, so I created Valentina and I hope you love her as much as I do.
That being said; here is your official warning. This book is about drugs and guns and murder, there will be a lot of violence and adult language and some adult ;) content. I will put a warning before any chapter that is especially dark but overall please keep that in mind. If you are sensitive to brutal violence and things like that, this isn't the book for you.
Another thing I would like to mention is my face claim for Valentina. Using Demi's face is literally just using their face. I love Demi's music and I fully support their journey throughout life. I've been inspired by their strength and perseverance for years. In no way is me using she/her pronouns meant to invalidate their real life experience and identity. And in no way is me using them as a face claim for someone as dark as Valentina meant to belittle the struggles Demi has overcome. I had the idea for this book like a year ago, and I always envisioned someone with long dark hair and prominent eyebrows with a killer smile. I tried finding literally anyone else, but I always came back to them. I even tried morphing faces together to create a whole new person, but nothing clicked. Until I was rewatching the Tell Me You Love Me video and I was like "yep. that's Valentina." You are more than welcome to envision anyone you would like. Normally, when I'm reading a fanfic I just picture my face instead, so I actually encourage you guys do that as well. The beauty of reading something fictional is that it's an escape from everyday life. Demi is beautiful in every era and I support them completely. I just wanted to make that clear. Valentina is a fictional character who uses she/her pronouns. Every character in here is fictional and in no way represents their face claims. Using the boys in this story is also just using their face and names. I changed details about them to keep them all separate from the characters I have created. I have the upmost respect for everyone I used in the cast of this book.
