Now, we're working on maintaining food and finding more life.

I finished my quick drink and turned around to go and take a quick wizz by the tree when I saw Kate sat on a rock, crying, near the tree of hope, which is the first blueberry tree we found. I remember when we were so relieved that we found a source of food. I walked over to Kate and sat down by her. She wiped away her tears and looked down.

"I miss it, Shaun," she said, quietly.

"So do I, we all do," I replied, "but we will get out of this place, I promise."

"You can't be certain."

"No, I can't. But we still haven't explored Kayuuk yet. There could be people who can help us."

She sighed. I put my hand on her shoulder and lifted myself up. I saw Conor in the distance, staring over at Earth.

"You alright, Con?" I asked.

"Yeah," he sighed, "It really does feel like a dream, doesn't it?"

I nodded.

"More like a nightmare." said James, behind us.

"C'mon guys, we have oranges to pick." I said, and we jogged over to 3 giraffes who looked happy to see us.

"Shaun, James, Conor!" shouted Kate. It made us jump. We looked down from the giraffes at her and she looked very worried.

"What is it?" asked James as we hopped off the giraffes.

"I can't find Lucas, George, Wilson or the lady anywhere!"

"Don't worry Kate, they wouldn't have gone far, we agreed to always stick together."

"No, it's not just that!"

"What do you mean?"

We sprinted to the tree of hope to see a wooden spear in the side of it, with some sort of blue skull painted on it.

"Who threw this, Kate?" I asked

"I have no idea! After you went over to Conor, Shaun, I went looking for Lucas and when I came back, this was here!"

James' face lit up with joy.

"What?" asked Conor.

"This means that there is more life on Kayuuk!"

"True!"

"Maybe they went with the spear men!"

"What if they were captured by the spear men?"

"They could be dead!"

"Or alive and be on a different planet!"

"GEE NOU OOR!" shouted a voice behind us. All 4 of us jumped and spun around. We saw a black man holding a spear towards our heads and he looked very angry.

"Hey!" said James. "We don't mean any harm, you can put the spear down!"

"WAT?" he shouted back.

"Guys, he doesn't speak English, he doesn't understand!"

"It's Afrikaans!" said Kate, "I learnt this in school! Hallo! Ons het u geen seer gemaak nie!"

"Kom dan saam met my." he replied. We looked at Kate, confused.

"Follow him." she said and we jogged to him.

"Does he speak English?" whispered Conor as to which Kate shrugged. Conor looked at him with a scared look and said.

"Excuse me? Do you speak English?"

The man turned around.

"English I speak small. I live Africa... before boom. My name Abdu and time 36."

Conor nodded in understanding and confusion at the same time.

After two hours of walking, Abdu stopped and pointed his spear at some sort of cave in the ground.

"In," he said.

"How is the water not healing itself?" I asked.

Abdu laughed.

"Follow." he said and jumped down into the cave, followed by us. We expected to see loads of other people who were waiting for us to arrive, but we were wrong. We walked down and the cave was tiny. The only thing inside was a big looking telescope. And it was pointing in the direction of the planet next to us.

"After boom, we work. We build this." said Abdu and signaled to us to look inside the telescope. Each of us looked and we saw the other planet, not only that but we saw Wilson, George, Lucas and the lady!

"There they are!" I said and we all turned to Abdu. "How did they get there?"

"Through telescope." he responded, us looking confused. "Put cannonball in telescope, tie hand to cannonball, and shoot."

"Isn't that dangerous?" asked Kate.

"Not if you wear your suit." said James, and he tied his hand to a cannon and slotted it inside the telescope. The front of it was a lot bigger than you might imagine.

"See you on the other side." he said and Abdu launched him to the next planet. We stood there in amazement.

"Why do we need to go there, anyway?" asked Kate.

"Planet more safe than Kayuuk. I recommend."

Kate nodded and did the same thing as James before Conor did too.

"I'll go last to make sure everyone gets there alright." I told him.

"Good luck." Conor said.

"He won't need." laughed Abdu as Conor launched to the planet.

"What about you, Abdu?" I asked.

"I stay and look survivors."

I nodded.

"Thank you." I said.

I launched through space with my spacesuit on. I had been flying for about 3 hours now when I finally was able to see specs of people on the planet. They were waving at me, and I waved back. I assumed I would just start to fall down anytime soon... about now... now? At this point, I don't think I was going down. I was going straight over the planet. My heart skipped a beat. Where am I going? I couldn't see any more planets. I closed my eyes.

Surely it couldn't have been that easy.
