Around two hours later, the team had came up with a plan.
Eric was able to detect when Lucas grows or shrinks on his iPad. He had thankfully kept a big list of all the times and coordinates of when this happened. The group saw where he last shrunk and used the rocket ship to go half a mile away from it. They went over to the coordinates and found Abdu, Lucas, Catherine and some other things / people. They killed Abdu, saved the day, and went back to living normally on Earth via the rocket ship. The End.
"So that's the plan?" asked Wilson.
"Yup." replied Eric.
"Why did you say it in the past tense?"
"I don't know... makes it seem more certain that it will work," he shrugged.
"Sounds easier said than done." said Kate.
"Alright then, so, you said you kept a list of where Lucas shrunk and grew, right? asked Dave.
He whipped his iPad out from behind his back and signaled for everyone to gather round.
"So this green dot shows where Lucas last changed size, and if I click this button..." he clicked the three dots in the corner. "So these are all the coordinates he has changed size at, for example if I click on this, the green dot moves to that coordinate."
"Wait- why do we need the list, can't we just go to where he last changed?"
"I mean, you never know, where he changed could've been a different place to where he is." he replied. "Also, me and Williams will have earpieces so we can talk to you... you all still have yours, right?"
They all nodded.
"So when do we start the mission?" asked Conor.
Shaun, Kate, Conor, Wilson, George, Dave and Leroy flew through space in the rocket ship. It took half an hour to arrive at Samneasa. They landed half a mile away from the coordinates, just like Eric told them to. All of them, including Eric, Doctor Williams and some more allies back at Adapt Corporation, all had those chips with microphones implanted into their brains, just like earlier.
The seven landed on the Samneasan floor slowly, and waited until someone gave them the signal that it was alright to exit the ship. The door slowly opened, and they looked out onto the scary, orange, rusty ground. Dave was the first to step out. He turned around and looked at the others.
"I feel like Neil Armstrong," he laughed.
"First man on Samneasa?" said Leroy, sarcastically. Shaun crept out the door and squinted his eyes as he looked at the bright sky.
"Well, last time I remember being here, I was launched about 25 feet in the air."
"If I'm correct, Lucas should be near the south-west direction," said Eric.
"Which way is southwest?" asked Shaun.
"Oh, I've got a compass," replied Leroy. He pulled it out and peered down at it. He turned around a bit until he stopped and looked up.
"This way." he said.
There is one thing that has been occuring quite a lot in this story. That one thing is 'walking'. That's exactly what the group did. Just like always. They walked. They dreamed that it would be the final walk they would have to take. Obviously, not like they would never walk again, but they dreamed it would be the last time they walked while Abdu was still alive.
The group kept on walking, without speaking. Just like before. Nothing to talk about. Until, they heard Eric tell them something in their ears.
"Alright, you're very close to Lucas' last position, I'd recommend being more sneaky!"
