sofia
♡trigger warning! contains
blood, gore, assault, homophobia, homophobic sl*rs, fear, and trauma"Huit, neuf et dix!" Sofia cheered as she wrote onto the concrete with a piece of chalk. (TRANSLATION: Eight, nine, and ten!)
Yulette and Sofia, a unstoppable duo. The two second grade girls were inseparable; they basically did everything together, "Fait! Commençons!" (TRANSLATION: Done! Let's start!)
The two girls were playing hopscotch, their favorite game at the time. Everyday after school, they would go behind the school to play hopscotch.
Sofia smiled at her best friend and handed her a pebble, "Vous êtes le premier!" Yulette held the pebble in her hand, ready for anything.
(TRANSLATION: You're first!)Believe it or not, Yulette used to be fearless. She used to slay fears: but that all changed.
Yulette threw the pebble onto the first square: one. She started her journey across all of the different squares, this was Yulette's comfort; the comfort that she prayed for.
On her way back, a large gush of wind knocked Yulette off her feet. Call it destiny, or call it faith, but Yulette would remember that precious moment forever.
"Yulette!"
*Time Skip*
"Yulette! Arrêter!" Sofia giggled as Yulette tickled her. (TRANSLATION: Yulette! Stop!)
They were in Yulette's large bedroom, laying on the bed. Yulette tickled Sofia's stomach, Sofia smiled uncontrollably and pleaded for her to stop.
Yulette and Sofia had tickle fights often, but this time was different: it was the last time. Never again did they lay on Yulette's bed, and laugh until their throats hurt.
Both of them laughed so much, Yulette wasn't even being tickled, the only reason she was happy was because Sofia was happy. Eventually, Yulette stopped when Sofia spoke up, "D'accord, arrête sérieusement. Mes côtes deviennent dures," (TRANSLATION: Okay, seriously stop. My ribs are getting tough,)
