"Oh, yeah. Yeah, this will do. This will do just fine," Steve sighed as they stopped at the scrapyard, "Good call, dude."

Steve and Dustin dumped their remaining steak pieces in a pile easily; Yulette struggled a little, but eventually added her steak pieces to the pile as well. Yulette was still unsure of what was happening... she only picked up a few things in the car.

"I said medium-well!"

All three of them looked up to the source of the voice, to see two familiar faces. One was Lucas Sinclair, a classmate of Dustin and Yulette; the other was the one and only Maxine Mayfield. The girl who Yulette felt herself falling for, even though she didn't want to.

Max's hair was as red as the auburn sun. Her eyes were as blue as the ocean itself. Her freckles were tiny spots of her personality that Yulette loved; Max was stunning. She was really falling for this girl, even though she was still a broken doll.

Both of the other children waved at them, and started to come closer to the others, "Who's that?"

Yulette sat on top of the old bus with Lucas' binoculars, she was apparently looking out for anything 'suspicious.' It was also the only job that she was comfortable with, since she would be alone and she really didn't think anything major would happen. Everyone else was sitting inside the bus.

"So you really fought one of these things before?" Max questioned, Steve nodding in response, "And you're, like, totally, 100% sure it wasn't a bear?"

Dustin chimed into the argument aggressively, "Shit. Don't be an idiot. Okay? It wasn't a bear," He was obviously fed up with her, "Why are you even here if you don't believe us? Just go home."

"Geesh. Someone's cranky. Past your bedtime?" Max joked, shortly after climbing up the ladder that led up to the roof of the bus; where Yulette was sitting.
