"C'mon Jess." Jessica's trainer, Jeff said causing her to hit the bag harder. The talk with Nate went better than Jessica thought it would be. It would be better if they finally admitted their feelings for each other, but Jessica can't always get what she wanted. And besides he was with that Sage girl. "Good job Jess!"
"Thanks Jeff." Jessica said out of breath. She has quickly gotten used to the intensity of boxing. She enjoyed it. Especially since she's been feeling a bit frustrated about things. Jessica gave Jeff a high five before grabbing her water bottle and taking a big gulp of it. She heard her phone ring. "Well hello there Nathaniel."
Nate chuckled. "Hey Jess."
"What's up?"
"What are you doing right now?"
"Uh boxing, why?"
"I was wondering if you might have some time to get a cup of coffee with me. I could really use someone to talk to right now."
"Is it about the article?"
Nate sighed "You read it?"
"Is it a bad thing I did?" Jessica asked, a bit embarrassed that she googled him and that was the first thing that popped up
"No it's not it's just..."
"Nate, you don't have to explain anything. You're not the guy your so-called friend is calling you."
"I know."
"Listen I have 15 minutes left in my workout so you think you can get me some and meet at my gym?"
"Iced Americano?"
"You remembered?" Jessica smiled through the phone which made Jeff smirked at her. Who was making the girl smile so big?
"How could I forget? I was always ordering for you, remember?"
"Thanks Nate. I'll text you the address."
"You called me Nate." Nate said, causing him to smile. Something he hasn't done this entire day.
Jessica shook my head. "Bye Nathaniel."
"See you later." Jessica hears him laugh as she hangs up the phone.
Jessica threw her phone back in her bag and saw Jeff smirking so big she wanted to wipe it off. "Don't start."
Jeff put his hands up in defense. "Wasn't going too."
