Caroline threw her phone on her bed after reading over a thousand comments comparing her to ella. it was strange purely because it was a simple post, just like she usually made, but so many people randomly started comparing her to someone else? it was confusing, obviously.
she heard the ringtone she'd set for elliot, and immediately picked her phone back up, answering the facetime call. he had a frown on his face, and his phone in his hand meaning he'd called her from his laptop.
"hey, what's up?" she asked, furrowing her eyebrows. elliot gave her an 'are you kidding me?' glare and she sighed. "i'm guessing it's about the comments."
he nodded and locked his phone. "no shit, it's about the comments," he scolded, making caroline roll her eyes at him. "why is everyone suddenly against you?" the boy was obviously worried for his best friend.
caroline shrugged, that being the only answer she could possibly give. "i have no idea," she sighed. "wait, i just got a text from louis, i'll call you back." elliot sighed and reluctantly nodded, hanging up the phone.
