My mother said that I only have permission to go to Madeleine's house once a week, and she can come here once a week! I will only see dear Madeleine twice a week, and at church. I tried to protest, but my parents shut that down fairly quickly.
I went to visit Madeleine and tell her of the news, and she told me there was lots of yelling when her parents discussed this with her. I do not understand why they are doing this to us. Why must I be punished? Perhaps I should not have spent so much time with Madeleine in the first place. If we had only seen each other a few times a week and not every day, our parents would not have limited our time together. Perhaps I can apologize to my mother and promise to fulfil my responsibilities as long as she doesn't limit my time with Madeleine. Hopefully, that will work. If not, I do not know what I shall do.
