Where Did He Go?

Chapter 10, 
"Wait.. where did Y/N go?"
"We need to put that kid on a leash"

"I'm sorry.." he looked at you with those all too common apologetic eyes

"There's nothing to apologize for" you shook your head

The two of you in comfortable silence cleaned up and redressed

You walked back to the camp site, hand in hand, making little conversation

He wrapped his jacket around your shoulders, as the two of you continued to enjoy the scenery, although Fujisaki was mainly looking at you

Smiles unconsciously crept onto both of your faces, as you eventually felt tired and the two of you fell asleep together in the cabins.

"Wake up N/N~" an unidentifiable figure shook you awake, with a familiar tone  that echoes through your ears

"No.." you rolled to the side, hugging the thing beside you

"Hey, hey, no sleeping! We're gonna go swimming!" they lifted you up, putting you on their shoulder

"Just take me there.." you dozed off, only to be woken up again by spinning

"Okay, I'm up please stop I'm getting dizzy!" the smaller male pleaded, eyes practically swirling 

"Alright, get dressed, and you can bring your friend too!" as you got out of your tired daze you saw a flash of yellow, making you come to the conclusion it was Akemi

"Friend..?" you turned around to see Fujisaki on your bed

"Hello.." his voice was quiet, but you could hear it well

"Hi! Do you wanna come with the rest of the YBC?" you flashed him a smile

"W-What?!" his face turned red, and looked heavily shocked

"Do you not like swimming?" you tilted your head to the side

"O-Oh! Right, right! I'll come with you.. to the lake! Most definitely the lake!" he shot up and rushed to the room next door to change

it didn't take long for the two of you to meet up in the front of the cabin, with towels and all your other necessities 

"Ready?" you linked your arm with his, making him look away, flustered

"Mhm" he simply nodded, making you begin your short journey

The both of you admired the view of the glistening lake, reflecting the always so bright sun

Just by looking at the placement of the bright star, you could tell it was already noon. You never thought of Fujisaki as someone to sleep in, it made you curious, but decided to yourself, thinking it was a dumb question

"N/N!" Akemi shouted while waving. You see everyone, but one member missing

"Hi, senpai!" you ran to him with open arms, making Fujisaki eternally pout at your missing presence. The two of you met in a short hug

"Hmm, why were you sleeping with Saki-kun? Are you dating?" he asked, in a teasing tone to cover up the fact he wanted to hurt someone. Specifically Fujisaki

"Yeah, are you?" Yuri asked, oddly calm today. Maybe he was sleepy?

"Huh? Dating? No, we're friends!" you smiled at him, making the rest of the member's tension relax

"Hello everyone, where's Shikatani?" your head tilted to the side a bit

"I haven't seen him today, it's kind of worrisome" Itome added his concern

"Wait, here's over there!" Toono pointed out to a figure coming into light, he seemed to be holding some kind of fabric. It swayed in the wind, along with his hair. He wasn't paying attention, but you could tell he was looking for something

"Hello Tani-senpai!" you shouted, catching his full attention. Although he didn't have a smile, and did a good job of holding his composure, you could tell his face brightened up seeing the club (or just you).

His speed quickened up, and the two of you ended up in a quick hug

"Hey, precious, I've been looking for you for a while. I was kind of concerned" he confessed

"Oh, I just woke up not too long ago... sorry for worrying you" your head bowed down to his in sincerity 

"It's okay, I've got something for you!" he said, trying to cheer you up. It worked

"Aw, why just Y/N? Don't you love your club members?" Tamura teased from the background

"Tch, as if" the violet eyed boy scoffed "Plus, it's nothing you want." he added

"What is it senpai?" you smiled at him, making him smile back. It was an inevitable fact that your smiled were contagious

"Remember the cat and dog outfits that were for Toono, and Kashima?" he asked

you swiftly nodded, in excitement. Believing you already knew what he was going to say

"I've gotten you one, for your very own! Then we can take pictures and put it in the club's book" his perverted smile slowly crept onto his face, slipping into his own fantasies. You jumped up and down like a child who's just gotten their way, clearly over joyed. 

Toono sweat dropped at your innocent confusion, shaking his head at Shikatani in disbelief 

"Let's go get you dressed, Y/N!" he started dragging you, only to be put to a fast halt. Akemi grabbed your other hand while pouting. 

You saw this as them playing around, but there was an obvious violent tension between the two.. you didn't pick it up

"Sorry~ N/N agreed to go swimming!" he smiled, tugging you towards his torso

"But isn't Y/N in the photography club? He should take care of his duties, and contribute in our photo book" he smiled, tugging you back

"We're on break! As the president, I think I can determine when club activities should be put to a halt" his smile became wider, but he was obviously irritated

"Well me and Y/N want to spend time together, maybe he's a little tired of your immature behavior" you could see his veins popping out of his neck

The two became overly angry at each other, stepping forward, in each other's faces. Almost if their mood could control the weather it became windy, and the sunny sky turned cloudy

They let go of your hands, and continued the 'friendly conversation'. The club just watched in interest, I wonder where they got popcorn?

"This is great sexual tension" the electric blue haired boy whispered to the pink haired one, making him burst out laughing

The trees started to sway in the wind, the sounds of millions of leaves brushing against one another echoed through the forest, making you turn your attention to it

"Huh?" you said softly, watching a small object fall out of a tree in the distance

Without anyone noticing, you slip away from the argument into the forest

        Stepping over fallen branches, and not even thinking you went off the trail into the vegetation abyss. You could feel the tall grass brushing against your shin, getting a few scratches that you couldn't feel now, but later. you watched as birds flew away into hiding, as the storm was getting more serious. Oddly, your determination to see what the mysterious object that dropped from the sky kept you going. 

"Hello?" you shouted, hoping to get a response. Strangely you did, it was a small chirping sound.

"Oh?" you whispered to yourself, looking around

Your eyes landed on a thorny, and leafy bush. It was moving in an irregular pattern, compared to the rest of the bushes that were swaying in the wind

You got onto your knees, and separated the bush apart gently, to find a small bird. The animal was restricted from flying, by the bush keeping it tangled.. like a prison. Sympathy waved over you, as you couldn't let the bird go through something you could relate to so well in your past

There was no hesitation when you reached for the bird, attempting to save it. The fact you were getting hurt in the process wasn't a factor in your eyes. There was no blood dripping, it only smeared

It took a few odd turns, but you got the bird out. After examining it to check for injuries, there was marvelously only a scratch on it's leg.

You tore a piece of cloth from your shirt, and tied the small fabric around it's leg.

"Feel better soon" you wished the bird, allowing it to fly away

Almost as if karma works in reverse, it began to rain.

Was the bird Satan's reincarnation? That's the only thing that could've explain the awful turn in events

Then realization hit you. You were currently living your worst nightmare.

Nothing looked familiar, and you were all alone. It was dark, cold, and raining. Despair flooded your system, it was all too much.

"What if I never get found? What if they're not even looking for me? What if they wanted this?!" you started to panic

Clouds started to pour, more aggressively. The tap taps, and the swishing in the wind filled your ears, making you cry. Crying is all you felt like doing right now. You cursed your stupidity, wishing you'd just stay put

"I'm scared.. I should've never left you.." you regretted ever leaving home. If you only did what you were asked, you wouldn't be here... 

"Nothing will get better if you stay here" you thought to yourself. 

Standing up, still sobbing a river, you started walking.. aimlessly

- With the rest of the YBC -

"Wait.. where did Y/N go?" Toono interrupted the two's endless death glares. The club was currently walking back to the cabins, to get cover from the storm

"We need to put that kid on a leash" Tamura shook his head, and went into his thinking palace, trying to remember where you went 

"He was just here a second ago?" Itome thought aloud

 "Didn't he.. walk towards the forest..?" Tamura said in fear

"You let him go in there?! Why didn't you say anything?!" Kashima shouted

"He's lost?! What if he gets hurt?!" Fujisaki wailed, obviously concerned for your well being

"I didn't think he'd go far" Tamura looked down, in disappointment, of his self. 

"Wait! Maybe he went to the cabins?" Shikatani added

"Let's go check" Akemi instructed the club members

They all ran to the camp site, hoping you were there to greet them with your contagious smile

Thank you Animedeku45, Donn_15life , Gaeymer for the wonderful ideas! I got so inspired I ended up writing a 1460 worded chapter just because you guys inspired me!

Also thank you everyone for the large amount of support! Honestly, I was having the biggest confidence crash ever, so it really means a lot!
