Saviour or not?

It happens in a blink of an eye and Jungkook doesn't understand. He sees a horseman throwing arrows in the air, his path follows Y/n. Scared, Jungkook's feet roughly take a turn, his ankle almost twists but he pays no attention to himself, his eyes now set only on the horseman and Y/n. The men in black start to scatter, their target now changing; to whom, no one could tell in such a chaos. Before Jungkook nears Y/n, the horseman beats him to it. Jungkook calls out her name out loud, his breath almost hitches in his throat as he sees the horseman now approaching him. He doesn't understand, his eyes are on the girl laying on her belly on the horse now, her screams only loudening to her possible capacity yet eyes still fixed on her brother. He doesn't get the time to look at Yoongi, nor the energy to run anymore. Yet not giving up, his direction changes again but his feet do give up and he falls on his back, crying at the injuries. Before he could get up and look around, he is pulled up by a force and not at all nicely, the impact has him see stars in the bright daylight. But looking beside him and seeing the girl he was crying for, a few minutes ago, sends some relief in his body. He almost forgets the situation he was in. The horseman is taking them in the opposite direction of where Yoongi is but what he finds strange is, the men aren't chasing them anymore. His little brain fails to comprehend the horseman's intentions. He holds onto Y/n's hands and with aggression in his tone almost shouts,
"We-We'll be alright, Y/n-ah!"

In return he is met by teary eyes, tainted cheeks, messy hair and helpless cries of the little girl, he had failed to console,
"M-My Oppa-ppa!!"

"W-we'll save him too, don't don't worry!"

The horseman after running to a good distance from the danger, fixes both the kids' posture, the little girl's arms around Jungkook's waist tightens her sobs being muffled on his shirt. He secures his arms around her figure, as tightly as his little manly arms could. The horseman's grip on them remains firm, preventing them from falling. Jungkook finds no trace of the men in black around him and observing the surroundings, they could be in a forest, he guesses. After what felt like a long while, the horse stops inside a cave. It's dark, but not too dark. The horseman gets down then helps both Jungkook and Y/n too. Jungkook stands firm taking a few steps back from the guy, securing the girl behind his small back. Y/n dares not to look up, her hand tightly around Jungkook's. Jungkook then takes in the attire of their possible saviour, he's dressed like a comman man. One of those people, outside the palace, he had sneaked out to see on other adventures with Y/n, the normal people, the people Y/n used to admire. His face covered with a rough cloth which matched his clothes, his hair tied up in a bun, on his waist Jungkook sees the arrows tied tightly.
The man's chuckle brings him back to the present, his face forms a scowl,
"Even if I were to do something, do you think you'd be able to do anything kid?"

Before Jungkook could speak, the girl from the back now comes forward, her hand still in Jungkook's, her eyes still glossy, yet she manages to state her intentions behind the courage of coming out from behind her safe place,
"Y-You good guy. Plej Plej save my Oppa my Oppa!"

The man frowns at the little girl in front of him then after thinking for a few minutes, replies,
"And what if I tell you I'm not a good guy, little girl?"
The man takes a step towards the two kids, and Jungkook hides the girl behind him again while taking a step back in return. The man yet again laughs still making his way to the kids. Jungkook does not say anything but keeps moving backwards. Suddenly, a loud voice from further inside the cave shouts,
"Stop scaring the kids hyung!"

The voice sounded loud but what comes out from the darkness, confuses Jungkook more, it's a kid almost his age but a little taller than him. He's dressed like them too, a little fancy for normal people. The man now laughs at the kid his attention diverting to him,
"I was just messing around Taehyung-ah! You know me!"

It's then Y/n peaks from behind Jungkook and her pearl-like shimmering brown eyes meet the Taehyung named boy. Taehyung eyes the girl carefully then smiles at her lovingly,
"We'll save your oppa!"

Y/n now likes the boy and his smile both,
"R-Really??"
Leaving Jungkook's side, she starts to excitedly move towards the boy but the hand in her hand stops her in her tracks. She glances at Jungkook and he only shakes his head looking into her eyes.
"ButBut he says he s-save my oppa."

"He could be lying, Y/n. We don't know these people."

"But what else can you do kid?"
The boy now has his eyes on Jungkook, there is a natural dislike Jungkook feels for the boy but takes things wisely or at least tries to,
"I suppose we are of the same age, I'm no kid."
To this the boy laughs, a new boxy shaped laugh, which fascinates little Y/n weirdly.
"I'm a whole eight years old! 'and' taller than you."

"Ha! I'm seven, Mr.tall."

"Still older and taller kid."

"I'm six but I'll be turning seven soon!! Jungkook's only a few months older than me but still a pabo!"
Y/n interrupts with enthusiasm to which Jungkook scoffs, and whispers slowly,
"Y/n they could be bad guys!"

Taehyung comes forward to Y/n and speaks with a smile,

"Hi, pretty girl, I'm guessing your name is Y/n, I'm Taehyung, nice to meet you."
The boy is now offering Y/n his hand to shake, but before Y/n could say or do anything, Jungkook takes his hand to shake and speaks,
"Hi, I'm Jungkook. Nice to meet you too, Taehyung."
While his face clearly told he didn't, in the least, feel nice about this.
Y/n stands there dumbfounded looking at the two boys, both taller than her, busy in some serious staring contest and still shaking their hands.

"Okay boys, drop it! We have other and more important things to do. Taehyung let go."
Taehyung obliges to the only adult among them.
Y/n takes it as her chance to interrupt once again,
"My oppa-"

"Look girl, I don't think you understand-"

"We're saving him."

"Taehyung-"

"It's an order of a prince."

In return, the man shuts up, with a clear unlikeable expression on his face. Jungkook and Y/n both are a little surprised at the new information by the 'prince'.

"Oh I'm a princess too!!"
Y/n states with excitement to which Jungkook hisses, saying a bad word in his head. Taehyung replies with a grin,
"Oh is that so? That's perfect, makes it easier for me to take you."

"I am a prince too."
Jungkook, of course had to now.

"Oh are you her brother too?"

"No."
They both answer in unison.

"Friend. He is my big friend."

"She means best friend."

"Oh okay. Hyung what are we waiting for now?

The man mutters a bad word and pats the head of his horse while replying,
"Let's wait for the sky to fade a little then we can move. I know where they could possibly be."
