𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨

The moment Finn saw Luna he knew she was his, the one he'd been waiting for. All thoughts of Sage or killing his family were gone, now replaced with the desire to me with his mate.

Currently all of the Mikaelson brothers were in an empty room with their unknowingly shared mate. The room was silent for a couple of minutes before Klaus cleared his throat.

"Do you know why you're here, love?" Klaus asked trying to be as gentle as possible as to not scare his mate off

"Um, because you're vampires?" Luna questioned

The brothers just stared at her, confused and shocked at how she knew.

"You're so stupid Luna." Elio sighed from beside the girl

"What? I was just being honest, I mean I'm betting they could tell if I was lying so I may as well tell the truth, I don't want to die yet."

"We would never kill you Elskan. I would never let my brothers hurt you." Elijah said

"I would never hurt my mate, Elijah." Klaus growled

"I think you're mistaken Klaus, she is my mate." Finn interjected

"No, she's mine." Kol Mikaelson said from the couch

"What the fuck is going on." Luna whispered

Elio was just laughing hysterically "Oh come on sister, you know what mates are. You're their mate."

"I understand the concept, but what exactly does that mean?" asked Luna. In her first life the girl  had read fanfictions about mates, but she has never experienced a situation like this.

"It means you complete us; you're our other half." Elijah explained "All vampires have a mate but  it is rare for them to live long enough to meet them."

"Jesus, my life just got a whole lot more complicated." Luna muttered

"Does this mean we can't go live alone after we save everybody?" Whined Elio

"What do you mean?" a puzzled Finn asked

"Um well, I'm sure Luna would love to explain." Elio coughed, a guilty look appearing on his face

Luna glowered at her brother, not wanting to tell the Mikaelson's about their lives.

"Me and my brother have both lived and died many times."

The brothers all looked at their mate in confusion and anger, not liking the fact that she had died before.

"What do you mean Elskan?" a worried Elijah asked

Luna just shook her head, not fully ready to tell her life story to people she just met.

"Look, me and my sister just want to save you guys. In our past life we-- we knew of you guys." Elio hesitated "You guys were in a TV show that we watched and we know your fate. Luna didn't think you deserved what you got so when we arrived here she wanted to help you."

Luna cringed at her brother's explanation, wondering how all of this sounded to somebody who hadn't experienced multiple different realities.

"You know everything that we've done and will do?" questioned Finn, his shoulders tense

Luna's gaze softens as her eyes land on Finn. The vampire had deserved better than he had gotten, tricked by his mother into hating himself and his brothers. Thinking that he was a monster, when in reality he was just hurting.

"Yes, but I don't judge you, I understand why you did it. None of you are monsters, and I hope you'll believe me one day."

"You guys might not be monsters, but your mother sure is a bitch." Elio muttered 

"Don't you dare talk bad about our mother." Klaus growled, ready to lunge at the boy

Luna stepped in front of her brother, glaring at the hybrid. "Don't touch him."

Klaus stepped back slightly, his inner wolf whimpering at the harsh treatment from his mate.

"My brother is right, your mom is a bitch. Klaus, do you really think she forgave you so easily after you mercilessly killed her?" the hybrid recoiled at the girl's words "No. Your mother is ashamed of you and your siblings, ready to kill all of you off because she thinks you are abominations. And if you don't believe me, ask Finn. He knows."

Finn lowered his head in shame, knowing that his mate was right. Luna sighed, slightly regretting being so harsh to them.

"Look, I just want to help you guys. I know you have no right to believe me, but I don't want to see you die." Luna murmured

"I understand what you are saying Elskan. I will discuss this with my brothers, for now why don't you and your brother get some sleep. I'll lead you to your room" said Elijah

"Alright." Luna agreed, looking around at the Mikaelson brothers. Her eyes landed on Kol, who was abnormally quiet. The youngest brother had a sullen look on his face and the girl wondered what he was thinking. Luna made her way to the door, but suddenly stopped.

"I don't think you guys are abominations." She whispered before letting Elijah lead her away.
