So yea, someone wanted me to do one, I've never done a tutorial so I apologize if anything's unclear!
Also this is just purely coloring. Shading, line art, sketching, all that, I'm not sure I'll do lol only if anyone wants it/needs it
So without furtherado, this is how I color atm!
(The example is a commission and the character does not belong to me in any way!)
Ok so, I'm going to assume you have your sketch/line art done(similar to this, but I color sketches the same!)
The first thing I always do is eyedrop the main/most seen color of the character, use the auto select tool(not the laso, different things) and select everything around the character, then inverse in and fill in the character with the main color!
Next I fill in all the main flat colors! (Gradients are excluded for now)
Once you have everything done, you then make a new layer above the place where you may have a gradient, and change the layer/check the box for "clipping layer", so you can only draw on the space you have drawn on in the layer below!
Now you can fill in any gradients you have with the air brush
Aand that's basically it, there's not much to it, but if anyone has absolutely any questions I'm happy to answer themYeEt ~~~ 🏃♀️
