"Oh, please! Lady (y/n) is such an ordinary lady, I bet the prince just didn't have a choice!" I overheard Liv with one of the ladies. Five months had passed since I had been left all alone with Liv as my new assistant, and she was nothing but hell.

The first few so called accidents was her spilling coffee on me before running my errands to meet with the queen for our tea time in the morning. The queen didn't like people showing up late, but I had no choice but to get redressed.

With the result that followed, I missed our tea time in the morning from the queen's duties. I shook my head out of that thought, knowing fully well that Liv was making a fool out of herself talking to the maids I had befriended in these castle walls.

I walked passed by them as I heard a gasp of surprise from Liv, I stopped right in front of the door to see her with a flustered look on her face. "You highness!" she bowed her head low, I darted my eyes away and ignored Liv.

I had given her a lot of time to rethink about her choices, but it seems as though she never learns. Today was my meeting with queen Amanda for an afternoon tea. When I stepped inside the garden, the queen waved a hand as her escort stood beside her.

"Your majesty, its a pleasure to have this time with you." I curtsied and cast a beam towards her, "Ah, of course (y/n). Please sit down," she beckoned me over to the chair across from her as I sat.

"Now, what is it that you would like to talk about, (y/n)?" the queen raised a brow, taking her cup of tea with a sip. I clenched both of my fists and swallowed, trying to keep myself at ease.

"I was wondering, your majesty...if I could talk about lady Katharina?" I asked with a following gulp and sweaty palms, trying to keep my eyes from faltering away. "What about lady Katharina? Is everything alright?" she asked with a hint of concern from her troubled expression.

"I just don't think she's the right lady to assist me," I answered and sat up straight, her majesty's eyes still fixated on me, "And I was wondering, your majesty...if I could have a new lady to assist me?" I asked with hopeful eyes, wishing for her to say yes.

Queen Amanda looked at me with a labyrinth of thoughts as she took a deep breath, and after a few moment did she let out a following sigh. "I don't think that's possible, considering that not many lady-in-waiting are up to the offer as of this time." she said with closed eyes, taking a sip of her cup of tea once more.

I sunk back in the chair with a frown, gazing my eyes down to my shoes. "Is there any chance that I can pick an assistant myself, your majesty?" I asked, looking up at her.

Queen Amanda put a finger to her chin and nod her head in response, "If the lady is a threat in any way, or had done something severely wrong then yes, she can be removed and you can choose an assistant to your liking." the queen responded with a smile.

Hearing those words from the queen somewhat gave me an idea. A threat. Though my plan could come off wrong, but if I wanted her gone then it had to be done. I rose up from the chair and bowed my head, "Thank you for your time. But I must go run errands now, your majesty." I spoke in a soft tone, the queen nod her head and scurried me off.

As I walked back inside the palace, I heard Liv's voice through the open kitchen door. I pressed myself up against the wall and listened, "I can't wait for the prince to arrive! I swear! I'll show him how a maiden should really act, rather than that pesky (y/n)! Then he'll marry me, wouldn't that be lovely Andrea?" she asked, "Of course, lady Liv." Andrea answered back sternly.

I rolled my eyes and went in front of the door. Liv's eyes darted towards me and curtsied, "Liv, can you please go and pick up some fresh roses from the garden? The one's in my room are already withered." I plastered on a frown with a following sigh, 'Of course, your highness. Right away!" she said and looked down at the floor while passing by me.

"Oh, lady (y/n)! Thank god you're here! Her mouth couldn't stop blabbering about nonsense, I felt like a ticking time bomb!" Sophie said in exaggeration, making me let out a quiet laugh while I shook my head. "Why, my lady, what brings you here in the kitchen? Perhaps some apple pie?" Andrea asked, taking a stride forward.

I shook my head no and glanced outside of the door and back to the maidens. "Please be honest with me, does any of you like lady Liv at all?" I questioned, Andrea and the other maiden in the kitchen exchanged looks. They seemed perplexed from my inquiry and was unsure if they should be honest or not.

"Well, my lady, I surely don't! She's always a nag!" Andrea spoke first with a sullen expression, "I'll second that, my lady! My patience are as thin as a brown strand of my hair! And all she talks about is the crowned prince, lady (y/n)!" Sophie fumed with crossed arms.

"Lady Liv is very lazy, my lady. I don't think neither of us likes her at all!" another one said while she rolled her eyes with a groan.

I clasped both of my hands, happy that everyone was honest with me. "Then I have a plan, a plan in which we could get rid of her!" I said with victorious, "And how would that plan be, lady (y/n)?" we heard a voice from behind, making me froze in place while the maids suddenly gasp in surprise.
