Chapter Forty-Five: Culmination

As we danced from the serene moonlight, I rest my head to Aleksander's shoulder. "Tomorrow will be my coronation, lady (y/n)," he whispered low, swaying back to back with our arms intertwined together. "Will you come?" he asked, I teared my head away from his shoulder and nod my head. "Of course, your highness." I beamed, "I'll miss you, (y/n)." Aleksander frowned with eyes glued to mine.

The thought of never seeing him again for years broke my aching heart, wishing to stop the tears that dared fall. I pushed a strand of his hair back and chuckled, trying my best to keep my demeanor in momentum. I rest my head back to his shoulder, his hand gently stroking my (h/c) hair.

"We will find each other once again, your highness...in another life." I replied softly, unable to keep my trembling tone dead. Aleksander tightened his grip around my waist and pulled me closer to his body, "In another life, lady (y/n)." Aleksander nod his head, repeating those words rather to himself as a reminder.

I pushed him back and pulled his chin up high, "I wish you luck for tomorrow, your majesty." I caressed his cheek with my left hand as Aleksander tilt his head further to sunken to my hold while pressing his palms firmly on my own. "Will I ever see you again, (y/n)?" Aleksander asked, trying his best not to frown.

"Time could only tell, your majesty." I responded back as Aleksander pulled me forward, our face inches away from each. "Then I'll wait for your return, my lady. Even for a thousand years."

Aleksanser responded, kissing me softly on the lips as we sealed our goodbye far too early.
