Romeo was in bed sleeping when Selena walked in. She leaned against the door frame of his room, staring at him. She couldn't stop thinking about him watching her last night. She couldn't understand why he was watching her and why he was so glued to the TV. He moved a little in his sleep before slowly opening his eyes. He quickly sat up when he saw her "what the hell are you doing?" She got off the door frame before speaking "good morning to you too" she said sarcastically before finishing "breakfast is ready in 10" she last said before leaving his room. He was confused and startled. He whipped his eyes before laying his back down against his pillow. 20 minutes later he came downstairs to the kitchen where most of everyone finished eating except for Francia. "Hey" he mumbled to her who had a mouth full so she waved. Finally when she was able to talk "help yourself. There's always plenty in the Gomez household" he nodded before fixing himself a plate. Francia kept her eyes on him who sat down across from her. "If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?" He looked up from his plate before saying "Why does it matter?" She giggled when she realized Selena is right about how stern he is. "I wanna know" he shook his head before he started eating. "Believe it or not, Selena is highly interested in you" she said with a smirk. "Yeah? I'm sure she is" he said sarcastically. "You don't believe me? She's the one who actually wants to know your age. She also caught you watching her music video to Slow Down last night" he was silent. "She's not my type" he said before continuing to eat. "How do you know?" He looked up at her "trust me, she isn't" he said. "What because you saw her dancing raunchy on stage? You do realize that's not Selena on that stage. The Selena I know is genuine. She's sweet as she can be and has a big heart. Just people have took advantage of her heart that she is now protecting it. The number one person to do that was Justin" he looked at her "then why is she still hanging out with him and allowing him to come by whenever he wants?" She shrugged "You'll have to ask her that" she stood up, grabbing her plate before continuing "Selena never had a real love. Yes Justin is her so called first love but is he really? He broke that girl in ways that I don't understand how she remains strong. She has never been with a real man before prior to Abel but even with him she wasn't truly happy. That's why it didn't last. It was more of a fling than anything to her. I just want her to be happy with someone who brings out the real Selena. It's like she had something to prove with her ex's and flings. She wasn't being her true self. She's her true self around us but that's it" she shrugged before taking her plate to the sink. "You can deny it all you want to but I know you have some sort of feelings for her" she looked over her shoulder at him "otherwise why were you watching her music video?" He didn't know what to really say which brought a smile to his face. She sat the plate down before turning fully around. "You'll fall for her, any guy would if they're smart" she said before leaving the kitchen.
Romeo finished eating and made his way outside where Selena was in the pool leaning against the wall. He walked over and stood over her. She looked over her shoulder "you're gonna stare down at me or are you gonna get in?" He let out a little chuckle "you're crazy if you think I'm getting in this pool with you" she turned around "I figured you wouldn't" he thought for a quick second before he dressed down until he was only in his briefs. He splashed her when he jumped in the pool shocking her. She didn't expect him to jump in, he wiped the water from his face. "Happy now?" She started to laugh "wow.. I didn't expect that" she giggled. "Well expect it. I'm not that bad Selena. I'm just here to protect you. I cant get distracted" he told her. "You're not distracted. You're here in the pool with me. You hear that? With me.. I'm perfectly fine as long as you're with me" he thought quickly about what Francia said about her liking him "isn't that so?" She nodded "duh.." she let out another giggle. "I'll keep that in mind" he leaned against the wall near her. "Hey.. I was wondering, since I can't go for jogs anymore because it's dangerous.. maybe you should just jog with me" he raised an eyebrow. "I have to get an early run. I've been doing this since God knows when. It's a win win situation. I get my jog in and you get to be there to protect me. What do you say?" She turned her body towards him "I'll think about it" she came closer "don't think about it, say yes.. please?" He looked at her seeing how close they were "fine.. we can go but only one time" she gave him a smile before hugging him "thank you" he slowly hugged her back. She turned her head, kissing him on the cheek before pulling away from the hug. He cleared his throat "you're welcome" he was trying hard but she was making him soft for her. "I have to go shopping. Scratch that, we have to go shopping. You're gonna be there so might as well get something for yourself, my treat" she said. "Thank you but I'm good" she shook her head "I'm not taking no for an answer. I would like to eat at my favorite restaurants. I won't be able to go on a date because you're going to be there. What if I want to invite the guy back to my place? How am I gonna be able to do that when you're there? So instead, how about you take me on a date. You don't have to speak to me or anything.. just enjoy a meal with me" he half smiled "what kind of date would that be if we don't speak to one another?" She giggled before shrugging "I don't know. But I'm taking that as a yes?" He looked over at her before nodding "yes" she started grinning at him "you know this is a date" he rolled his eyes playfully. "Come on, give me a break. I'm not who you think I am. I guarantee if you get to know the real me, you will fall in love" he chuckled "sounds pretty conceded if you ask me" he said. "I'm not trying to sound like that, I'm just being honest. What you see me doing on stage isn't who I am off stage. And I know I've been giving you a hard time but can you blame me? I had shitty bodyguards in the past. I finally have one who actually cares if I live or die" he looked at her not saying anything "and I appreciate it. It means I can trust you" she placed her hand against his cheek, staring into his eyes. "Selena?" Her mother called from inside of the house. "She always wants me" he looked down chuckling "better go see what she wants" he said. "Right..." she leaned forward, kissing his cheek before getting out. "Can't wait for our date Romeo" she said before walking inside.

There's something about Romeo, I don't know what it is but he's different. He's not like any of my past bodyguards and anyone who I have encountered with. I'm looking forward to this date, to see where things will go. Maybe Francia is right, maybe we could be Whitney and Kevin from the Bodyguard even though I'm not his type..
