Chapter 13
Grace’s P.O.V
‘GRACE! WAKE UP, IT’S THE CONCERT TODAY I’M SOOOOO EXCITED!!’ I felt someone begin shaking me aggressively, I shot up to see Tre’s face smiling, he was already dressed and ready to go,
‘TRE! It’s 5:30am what the fuck?!’ Billie shouted walking out his bedroom wearing his boxers and looking half asleep ruffling his hair trying to make sense of what was happening,
‘I know! But I’m just so excited! Grace gets to see us set up and sound check, and everything!’ he jumped up and bounded towards Billie like and excited puppy, I began giggling
‘mmmhmm, did you wake Mike up as well?’ Billie sighed rubbing his face,
‘NOOOOO! I totally forgot about Mike, I need to go get him!’ Tre gasped and ran out the Bus towards Mike’s, something tells me Mike’s not going to be too happy,
‘Well, now that I’m up, do you want any breakfast?’ he said walking past me and towards the kitchen area, I thought for a while whether or not I was hungry, for some reason I could never tell in the morning,
‘Ermmm…. No thank you it’s a little bit too early’ I said jumping out of bed and stretching
‘Mmmmm same’ he sighed and turned on the T.V
We sat watching telly for a good 2 hours before we decided to get ready and head out to the stadium,
‘Well Grace, welcome to Chicago’ Billie grinned as we stepped out the bus,
‘Wow it’s huge!’ I gasped looking at the venue they were going to be playing that night, Billie just smiled and walked us into the building, there were loads of men around, they were unloading van after van of speakers, leads, lights, staging everything! There was a man who looked quite important walking round telling people were things should go, and talking on a walkie talkie every now and again, Tre and Mike had gone and sat on some of the chairs talking to a couple of guys, I stayed by Billie’s side. The man who looked important walked over to Billie smiling,
‘Hey Joe’ Billie greeted him, the man smiled and looked down to me
‘And who’s this?’ he smiled
‘This is Grace, Grace, Joe’ the man held out his hand, I hesitated and decided to shake it,
‘Grace?’ I turned my head to look over at Billie
‘I just need to speak to Joe a minute, do you mind going and chilling with Tre and Mike for a while?’ I shook my head and began making my way over to the guys,
The day went quite quickly, most of the time I was sat watching the guys do their sound check, every so often they would come over and make sure I was okay, I found it fun watching them set up and stuff, I guess not many people get to watch so I felt quite privileged.
It was just before they were about to go on stage, I was stood at the side ready to watch, I felt little nervous this time, I mean I didn’t have Adrienne so I was completely on my own,
‘How do I look?’ Tre turned to me standing waiting to go on,
‘Beautiful!’ I giggled
‘THANK YOU!’ Tre grabbed me and hugged me, I giggled as he put me down,
‘Excited?’ Mike asked walking towards me
‘YES!’ I shouted, of course I was excited it was the second time I was going to get to see my hero’s play!
‘That’s what I like to hear’ he said ruffling my hair before going to join Tre
I looked round trying to find Billie but I couldn’t see him, and they were going on in like 5 minutes
