Chapter Eleven, Logan's POV
"Hey Storm, have you seen Scarlett anywhere?" Her face said it all. "What
happened?" I demanded.
"We don't know for sure, but Professor Xavier is trying to find her now."
Rage filled me in. Something must have happened to her. She wouldn't
just leave like that...would she? I had to find her before she got herself in
more trouble.
"I'm going after her." I went to get my jacket and Storm followed me.
"Logan, you should wait, she might come back."
"Or she might be in trouble."
"Logan...what if she doesn't want to be found? We gave her the freedom
to leave if she wanted to. You of all people should know how it feels to
want to be left alone."
"I also know how it feels to be completely alone. I'm going after her."
Storm sighed but didn't try to stop me. I had to find her before she got
hurt. I swear that girl was a magnet for trouble. I searched the woods
surrounding the grounds for any sign of her. I caught a faint whiff of her
scent and that's when I saw it. The bark was scratched off of several trees,
and there was blood. Not a lot, but it looked like there had been a fight.
That's when I smelled him. Sabretooth. I growled. They couldn't be far.
The question was...did he take her, or did she go to him? It didn't matter.
I just wanted her back
