Killer rarely has nightmares but when he does, it's bad. He can't breathe in his sleep once his nightmare hits a certain point, causing him to gasp and unable to wake up on his own. His room is near Horror's so Horror can wake up if he hears Killer gasping for air and go wake the other up. Once Killer is awake, he shakes like a leaf, looking and acting fragile and he's like that for a couple hours even if Horror tries to comfort him. His soul usually becomes an inverted heart after this and Nightmare will eventually force it back to be a target.
