When Nightmare gets hit by one of Dream's arrows, the corruption pulls away from that area for a moment to show the stained, white, and now cracked bone underneath before it surges forward to consume the arrow. Dream always shakes when he sees that because it pains him.

Nightmare uses his old form to bait Dream sometimes. He'll pull back the corruption on his face, use his old voice to call for Dream. Dream, without fail, will ALWAYS go to him. Nightmare nearly tears him apart every time. The Stars have to start holding Dream back.
