The four of us took a cab from the airport once we landed in New York, heading to Ben’s apartment.

The cabbie slammed on the breaks on the bridge, and we all looked up to see a pile up.

“What the hell,” I said, and got out of the back, Sue right behind me, Reed and Johnny getting out from the front and the other side.

“You think it’s him?” Reed asked me. I scanned the people at the top, and saw fear. Towards the center, it was only fear, no sadness.

“It’s a good possibility,” I said. “A lot of fear. Usually there’s sadness and worry. But here, there’s mostly fear.”

“How do you know that?” Johnny asked.

“I have a masters in Psychology,” I told him, and started moving towards the center of the accident.

“Of course you do,” he said, and I glared.

            “It was rebellious,” I returned.

We got a few feet away where it was the most crowded, and saw cops holding people back.

“There’s no way we can get through there,” Reed said, and he looked at Sue. “But you could.”

She sighed, and took a deep breath, concentrating. She turned invisible, but we could still see her clothes.

            “Sue, you’re clothes,” Reed said.

She gasped, “oh.”

She started stripping, and Johnny said, “This is so wrong,” and turned away.

Was to her underwear when she appeared again.

“Sue,” Reed said, gesturing to her. She covered up, and I stood in front of her, feeling sorry.

“Anymore great ideas?” Sue asked Reed over my shoulder as she picked up her coat to cover herself. “How about you strip down and have a hundred people start at you?”

She started to disappear again.

“Sue,” I murmured. She said oh, again, and finished.

“I’m going to need therapy,” Johnny muttered. Sue started to head through the crowd, and Johnny grabbed her clothes. We went around the cops, as an invisible Sue distracted them.

Once we were over the line, Johnny and I left Sue and Reed so she could put her clothes back on, and we went to look for Ben.

Reed caught up to me a few minutes later, and we ran down the side, avoiding people as they ran away. We stopped when we saw Ben. He was completely covered in orange stone.

“Ben?” I said. “Ben?”

Suddenly there was a huge explosion behind us, and I threw my hands out, putting it out with ice. A purple field came around it at the same time, containing it.

“Maggie… You’re floating,” Reed said, and I looked down, seeing my feet were about a foot off the ground. I freaked out, and dropped, stumbling back.

“What the hell?” I said.

Once the fire went out, I saw a fire truck that was skidding. It broke through the bridge, and was hanging. One of the fighters were hanging off the very edge.

“Reed!” I shouted, and started running over to it.

Ben grabbed the fender of the side that was still on the bridge, and went into the process of keeping it down. I took off my jacket.
