Prologue

《[Y/N]'s POV》

"Yatta!! We're finally here!!" I shout at the air port.

"[Y/N], do you understand that we came here to investigate not to have fun!" Jodie-sensei complains.

"Gomen." Shuu-nii soon follows.

"Jodie-san is right, but it won't be that bad if you got to have fun with the friends you're going to make."

"Really! Man, Shuu-nii you're too nice! But... I think I already have someone here that I know so it won't be that hard to catch up with them. But I... I don't intend to stay here for that long so I guess I can't really do that." Shuu-nii nods.

"But I'm staying in my childhood friend's house."

"Don't you think they changed? That person, I mean." Jodie-sensei asks.

"Knowing that sherlockian I doubt it. And the karate champion? If she stayed with him then she didn't change." I stop and think for a moment. 'Who am I missing...? Sonoko! That's right that princess!"

"Right! I forgot about the princess! She never whould've changed. Probably still the same."

"So you have a detective friend? How unusual." Shuu-nii coments. I pout and look at him.

"How rude! He's a high school detective! High school! And I have other detective friends. Like Megure-keibu or Takagi-keiji or Sato-san. Oh! You can never forget that Mouri Kogoro. He was plain dumb the last time I saw him!"

By the time we finish our conversation we already arrived at the Kudo mansion.

"Well see you Jodie-sensei, Shuu-nii!" I shout at them and then ring the doorbell.

"Please wait a second!" I hear a shout when an unfamiliar boy opens the door. I see his expression change from clueless to surprised.

"Who are you boy? Did I get the wrong adress? And I thought for sure that I got the right one!" I pout ready to walk away when the boy stops me.

"Ne, ne are you the lady Shin'ichi talks about? Etto I think her name was... Ah! [Y/N]! Are you her!?" 'Wait this boy... He looks so much like Shin'ichi when he was little...' I look at him suspiciously then put on a warm smile.

"Boy what's your name? Do you know Shin'ichi?" I ask the boy.

"Edogawa Conan, Shin'ichi-nii-san said he's on a very hard case he needs to solve." I look at him and smile crouching down to pat him on the head.

"Is that so? I kind of believe that he's closer than you say he is." I look at his inocent face and see his eyes whimper a little.

"Huh...? But... he said he was far away..." I open my mouth to speak again but someone else interupts me.

"[Y/N]... Is... that you...?" I freeze in place. The boy seems to notice so I quickly put on a smile and run to hug her.

"It sure is!"

"[Y/N]!" I hear another voice say.

"Sonoko!" I go to hug her as well.

"[Y/N] it really is you! Why did you suddenly had to go to America!? Why didn't you write letters or at least wrote mails to us!? Why did you only return now!?" Sonoko starts blowing me with questions.

"Ah... Uhm... S-Sonoko... One at a time please." 'I didn't think she whould be that worried'

"Ne, ne onee-san!" I hear the boy ask.

"What is it, Conan-kun?" I crouch down to his level.

"Are you going to live here?" I look at him smiling.
