[rain]

I stood staring at the old mans grave feeling the rain on me when I reached into my pocket and grabbed the phone he gave me

"Rin" i heard when I saw todoroki holding an umbrella over us

"Oi shouldn't you be laying down" I asked

"They were able to treat me the other day...and my legs still work" he said and stared at the phone in my hand "what are you going to do?"

"Before he told me to leave he talked about a friend of his that could help me...I might call him...but that means I'd have to leave you behind" I said

"Who said you had to" he said when I flinched

"Huh?" I asked

"I have powers like you. If this person shiro said to call could help you I'd like to hope he could help me as well... Besides I have taken a liking to you" he said when I flinched

"Aren't you afraid...I mean you saw the flames...I'm the son of satan" I said trying to reason with myself more than trying to reason with him

"I'm not...cause either way you used the flames for good...that's all that matters to me" he said making me flinch

"Then...please stay by my side." I said when I saw him flinch beside me "you have abilities too and...I don't want to be alone-" I said when I saw him drop the umbrella and wrap his arms around my shoulders as my eyes widened

"Ive never been good at comforting others...I hope this is ok-" he said when I hugged his waist and rested my head on his shoulder as his arms tightened around me

"It's fine...thankyou" I said and separated as I called the number on the phone

[phone ringing]

"Rin" todoroki said when I turned and saw men in black trench coats surrounding us

"Pleased to meet you." I heard the voice echo in the phone and looked to see a guy dressed like a clown "I am mephisto Pheles, preceptor of the Japan branch of the knights of true cross. I was a friend of father fujimoto's. Please allow me to extent my deepest condolences"

"Are you guys exorcists too?" I asked and put the phone back in my pocket

"Yes. We know all about you. It seems that father fujimoto intended to raise you as a human, but against his wishes you instead awoke your true nature. Having the son of satan at large in assiah...puts mankind in the worst kind of jeapardy. As such we are compelled to eliminate you in the name of the Vatican." He said when i flinched

[ice crackling]

I saw todoroki threaten to freeze the men around us as i snarled

"Hey I thought you were going to offer me protection!" I snarled

"I never let my personal feelings interfere with businesses." He smirked as i kept todoroki behind me to prevent him from freezing everyone

"Tch" he snarled

"Two options remain for you. Either be killed by us of course we'd have to investigate your friend here but he'll be safe considering he's not actually a demon is he...or two kill us and flee" mephisto said "oh wait there's also the option of taking your own life, so that's three. Now then which do you prefer?"
