I was sitting in my cell on the top bunk bouncing a ball off of the ceiling, Harper was writing in her journal
"Can I ask you something?" Harper asked as I continued to bounce the ball off of the ceiling
"Sure" I replied as I sat up, my fiery red hair falling over my shoulder
"What do you think happens when you die?" Harper asked, I paused, I didn't really know what to say, it was likely that soon, someone would look at me and say 'she looks at bit older than 17' then I would be floated immediately
"I'd like to think that we go to Heaven" I said
"What's heaven?" Harper asked
"It's something that people believed in back on Earth. They say it's where people go when they die, that is if they were good people, when they're bad they supposedly go to hell. But my personal belief is that you reunite with the people who matter most to you; I know that if I died say tomorrow, I'd reunite with my brother and my mom" I said, my eyes saddened at the thought of my family's demise and then I thought about my inevitable death which was today, my birthday, the day I actually turn 20 but everyone thinks I turned 18
"Yeah, maybe" Harper said, I heard the door open and watched as Harper was shoved against the wall then I was roughly pulled off of my bed
"Hey! Let her go! Let her go!" Harper begged as she tried to fight them off
"Harper, it's okay" I said, I wasn't afraid of my fast approaching death, I was more afraid of Harper getting herself hurt
"At least let me say goodbye" Harper asked as tears streamed down her face, they let her go and she rushed toward me, hugging me tightly
"Just be smart. You're gonna get a retrial, you'll get to be free and you're gonna marry a nice guy and have a gorgeous little girl or boy and name him or her after me" I said causing Harper to laugh despite the tears
"I will" she said
"You're my best friend, Harps" I said as I tightened the hug around the blonde girl
"You're my best friend" Harper said
"Time's up" a guard said, I released my grip on the smaller girl
"Goodbye, Harper McIntyre" I said, tears streamed down my cheeks too
"Goodbye, Alexandria Moon" Harper said, I was dragged out of the room, I thought about my entire life, how things could've been different and then I was in front of the floating chamber
"Alexandria Marie Moon, you have been convicted of treason, assault, theft and murder" Marcus Kane said. Marcus Kane was a member of the council, one of the only members aside from Abby Griffin that believed that I was innocent but their fight was no use, it was the end for me, they put me in the airlock, I glanced at every single one of the guards. Lastly my gaze rested on Marcus Kane, he had a look of sympathy on his face. I knew he tried his best, that I couldn't blame him in fact if I could, I would thank him
"Stop!" A voice yelled, my eyes locked on the owner of the voice and saw Abby Griffin
"What is it?" Marcus asked
"She's supposed to go with the others" Abby said, Marcus turned toward Shumway and motioned for him to open the door. I stepped out, unsure of what was happening
"Come on, Alexandria" Abby said, I walked wearily toward her
"What's happening?" I asked, my green eyes bouncing back and forth from Marcus to Abby, I  felt Abby grab my wrist and clamp a metal bracelet on, feeling a pinch
"You're going to earth" Abby said, Alex glanced back to Marcus who nodded at her, I gulped and followed Abby and within minutes, I was at the front of the line at the drop-ship. I suddenly felt a grip on my arm and I was being dragged by a guard in a uniform that didn't fit properly which made me think that he wasn't a guard but I stayed quiet knowing that I was going to get myself in trouble, he ushered me up the ladder, I sat down next to Harper, who almost cried at the sight of me
"What're you doing here?" Harper asked
"Abby Griffin saved me somehow" I said as I buckled the seatbelt
"Thank god, I don't know what I'd do without you" Harper said
