Chapter 21

It had been around a month and a half and Bhavna had given birth to a baby girl, Arohi. And she had her father, chachus and dadus wrapped around her finger the moment she opened her eyes. She had beautiful light brown eyes. The happiness only doubled when Sahil had proposed Pranati for marriage.

Both the families had decided to meet last week and the dates were finalised. Two months from now would be the engagement and wedding would be three days later. The house was filled with happiness.

Rashi was nervous as she had been feeling unwell from the past week. She told Vaibhav and he had asked her to take a test. She had then realised that her period was late. And so here she was having a pregnancy test in her hand not having the courage to take it.

"I am scared. Agar negative hua toh?"

(I am scared. What if its negative?)

"Toh hume atleast pta hai ki hume kya chahiye. And we will try again."

(Then we know what we want. Ans we will try again.)

He said cupping her face. She nodded with uncertainty and went to the washroom. She took the test and waited for the results. She was very nervous and was about to cry any moment. The timer went off.

She looked at the stick and a sob escaped her mouth. She washed her hands and threw the stick in the dustbin. She opened the door and saw Vaibhav standing near the door waiting for her. As soon as she came out he stood in front of her wanting to know the results. The tears running down her eyes told him the story and he immediately engulfed her in a hug.

"Its ok. Shh. Rona band karo. We will try again okk. Shh."

(Its ok. Shh. Stop crying. We will try again okk. Shh.)

He kissed her head and said.

"I love you."

He whispered in her hair. She tightened her arms around him.

"I love you too."

She kissed his lips softly and he deepened the kiss. She pulled back momentarily and muttered.

"Baby loves you too."

And kissed him again but he didn't respond. When her words registered to him, he held her closer and kissed her back more passionately. Tears running down from both of their eyes. He picked her up and took her to the bed. He carefully laid on the bed and moved her shirt up, exposing her belly.

"Hi baby. This is papa. I love you meri jaan."

He said with tears and kissed her belly softly. His baby is there. Their baby is there.

"Thank you. Thank you so much. I am so happy."

He said and kissed her head. She just hugged him and they stayed like that for some time when he suddenly got up.

"Come on. Sab ko batana hai there's going to be another baby. Chalo chalo chalo."

(Come on. We have to tell everyone that there is going to be another baby. Come come come.)

He said excitedly and helped her get downstairs. It was an off today and so everyone was at home. His parents and Chachi-Chachu were sitting in the living room. He quickly messaged his cousins to come outside.

When everyone had gathered he told them why he had called them. Dhriti started jumping and Damini and Saroj blessed them and took her nazar. Arjun and Karan also blessed them and Bhavna hugged her and congratulated them. The boys were very happy to get another baby to spoil. Adi and Dhriti were dancing. And Rashi, she was blushing all the while, whereas Vaibhav had a proud look.

The news had spread like fire and she had received a group video call from her family and Pranati's family. Sakshi and Pranati were squealing all the while and were very happy to become maasis.

"Yayy!! Hum maasi banne wale hai."

(Yayy!! We are going to be massi.)

They had said altogether.

"Chachi."

Sahil and Adarsh's voice came. Both of them looked at each other and Sahil raised his eyebrow at him. He just shrugged and said 'Tere liye bola'. *Chal juttha😏*

Rashi and Vaibhav were cuddled against each other. His hand was caressing her stomach and they were watching a movie. She was now three months pregnant and day after tomorrow is Sahil's engagement. Tomorrow they would be leaving for the venue.

They still couldn't believe that she was pregnant and that they were having a  baby. She remembered how he had cried during their first sonography appointment. The baby was healthy. The pregnancy was normal. What else did they want.

Vaibhav was so much concerned about her and the baby's health that he had stopped touching her. It had been two months that they made love. The doctor had clearly told them that it is safe to do it unless there is some problem but no that man won't touch her saying that he didn't want to harm the baby or her. This frustrated Rashi so much and her mood swings came to no help.

Like right now she was moving her hands on his chest sensually trying to make him lose control. She started peppering kisses on his neck and throat. He groaned and pulled back.

"I know what you are trying to do. It won't work."

She whined in protest.

"But i need you Vaibhav. It's ok we can do it. Baby ko kuch nhi hoga."

(Nothing will happen to the baby.)

He looked at her uncertainly.

"But what if it pokes the baby?"

He asked unsure. Rashi looked at him for some time trying to understand what he said. And when she did she burst out laughing.

"Oh my god! Vaibhav! Poke? The baby is the size of a big bean right now. High in my uterus, 'it' won't even reach there ."

She said still laughing and fingerquoting 'it'. He scratched his neck with a sheepish smile. She leaned in and planted a soft kiss on his lips and he pulled her closer deepening the kiss. And they spent the night making slow and passionate love.

The next day all of them left for the wedding venue. Rashi was so excited because now her sister would be living with her in the same house permanently. Adi was happy because he was getting one more chachi to show his toys to.

I won't be writing the wedding in this book. I am planning to give Sahil and Pranati their own book. Do you guys want that?
