"Mina! mina wake up" I hear a voice. I search through the darkness until I see a figure. Not just any figure, but the most important one I lost at the beginning of freshman year- my own mother.

"M-mom?? What are you- how are you-"

"I'm sorry, there's no time for your questions I know are swarming around in your head," My mother says, she looks just the same as when I last saw her, but some kind of glowing aura too.

"I'm not supposed to be in contact with you, but I know you well, and I know if you don't get an explanation to your recent events you'll spend your whole life questioning it- and miss out on the joy of living" my mother says, and I nod, she really does know me.

"i'll be frank. When I died I was granted one last wish, I know I could've wished for me to come back to life, or for your step father to become nice... but the only thing in my head was what could benefit you the most. I wanted to wish you something that would last you eternal love and happiness for the rest of your life. I wasn't expecting your dream lover to appear in your life so supernaturally, but a wish is a wish and it worked out in the end," My mother explains. "you can't tell anyone about the multi dimension universe- then they will know that I contacted you and something might happen to me"

"..." i don't know what to say even. Thank you seems a bit blunt.

"Mina I want you to know that your step father does not exist in this world- you're safe now. And I want you to live your new life to the fullest, don't let your worries and anxieties stop you. If I could have a do over to fix all my past mistakes in life and provide you a better future, believe me I would've. But you do have the chance to do this, so cherish it, cherish your kim Sunwoo and let yourself have love and happiness again. You deserve it"

and with that my glowing mother fades away into the darkness, and a loud beeping noise awakens me from my dream. I open my eyes and sit up, the new world I jumped into is just the same. The same bedroom, the same Sunwoo laying beside me. I really do have another chance at a happier life, thank you mom. thank you for always putting yourself before me, I will live life to the fullest in your honor.

Sunwoo opens his eyes slowly, rewrapping his arms around my waist. "Did you have a bad dream?" he asks in a morning voice.

"no, actually." I say truthfully.

"That's good," Sunwoo sits up as well, giving me a kiss on the cheek. "So do you wanna figure out this whole switching dimensions thing or...?"

"No," I say after a pause. "as long as we're here together I have no worries."

"Sounds like a plan," Sunwoo grins.

Sunwoo and I get ready for school, it's still a uniform but they're less strict about which jackets you can wear, so of course Sunwoo gives me one of his black zip ups. The high school Sunwoo attended before in his world is not a boarding school and they seem to be a bit more casual thank goodness.

However Sunwoo still manages to break the dress code, he wears a black t shirt and just the white uniform shirt unbuttoned.
We leave the apartment hand in hand, promise rings connected. It's getting cold, but still no snow yet.

The campus is nice, it's in an unfamiliar city, with generic school buildings. Sunwoo and I stop outside of our classroom.
