It was the morning after Sakusa's long phone call with Atsumu. He woke up with a big headache but he didn't mind, a little pain was worth getting to hear Atsumu's angelic voice all night long.

Sakusa did his usual morning routine for school and was ready to head out when his mom suddenly called for him from the kitchen.

He got suspicious at first, his mom never woke up this early, but he decided to just go along with it and see what was going on.

His mom greeted Sakusa with a sweet smile as she said:
"Kiyoomi, dear, I made you some breakfast and packed your lunch."

Sakusa was shocked, his mom hadn't made him lunch or breakfast since he was 13, that was when he first started cooking and doing chores to help his mom out.

He decided to push all his suspicions aside and investigate:
"Wow ma, thank you. I'll be heading off to school in a bit so i'll try to eat as much breakfast as i can for now."

Sakusa's mom chuckled but her expression quickly changed. Her eyes became wide open and she looked like she just remembered something. Which was exactly what had happened:
"Honey?"

Sakusa could tell she wanted to ask something by the tone of her voice, so he replied with:
"Hm?"

There was a short moment of silence before his mother spoke up:
"Just...make sure you find me when you get back home. I want to ask you something."

Sakusa hesitantly nodded as he finished his short breakfast and headed to school. He couldn't focus on anything in class, he was just distracted by what had happened that morning. I mean, what could his mom possibly want to ask?

All of his thoughts were interrupted by his phone buzzing. It was a text message from Atsumu, which was a huge relief since he felt a lot less stressed or anxious when he was talking to Atsumu.

The message read:
"Hi babe🧡 mornin'"

Sakusa was slightly stunned at the sudden use of the pet name. They never called each other 'babe' or 'baby' or anything for that matter. But he decided to go along with it and make Atsumu feel more loved and less awkward:
"Hey baby💗 good morning:)"

Atsumu was so close to slamming his head on the wall and screaming. He was having a what you would call "gay panic". Atsumu was very shocked but very happy as well. He really wanted to push his limits and talk about it with Kiyoomi so he texted:
"OOoOoo, baby.. i like that:))"

Sakusa let out a sigh of relief, he thought he had taken it too far with the 'baby' and stuff and he was glad to hear that Atsumu enjoyed the nickname he had been given.

They kept on texting for a bit but they didn't have much time since they were both in school and the break was almost over. So Sakusa quickly decided to tell Atsumu about the thing that had been bothering him all day:
"Soo Atsu, something weird happened this morning... do you mind if i tell you about it?"

Atsumu blushed when he saw the message, he felt honored by the fact that such a shy and sorta 'tsundere' person could to talk to him so comfortably. But he brushed it off and asked:
"Of course😎 what is it?"

Sakusa took a deep breath and replied:
"Well, my mom was acting really weird this morning and she told me to 'find' her when i get back home because she wanted to ask something? and I'm just really anxious, what could she possibly want to ask me?"

Atsumu read the message and texted back:
"Hmm, i really can't think of anything she would want to know so suddenly."

Sakusa sighed in disappointment, he said his goodbyes to his boyfriend and headed off to class.

~Timeskip To After School~

Sakusa quickly rushed home to finally see his mom and hear her out. She was sitting on the couch, patiently waiting for Sakusa to arrive.

When he opened the door and walked over to the living room he saw his mom just sitting there on her phone calmly tapping it. He exhaled softly and said:
"Hey ma, im back..."

Sakusa's mom turned her head to the side and saw Sakusa just standing there staring at her. She giggled and replied:
"Aw honey, don't be so shy.Come,take a seat."

Sakusa sat down next to his mom in silence. It was almost getting awkward when he decided to speak up:
"Soo mom, you had something to ask me?"

Sakusa's mom smiled as her face lit up with joy.She seemed excited. Sakusa smiled as well, the sight of his mom being happy made him feel like a good support in her life.

His mom was of course excited to ask her question but she was evil and knew her son too well to just hand it to him so easily, she knew he could get Sakusa to do anything by using his curiosity.

So she smirked and dramatically said:
"I wouldd but, my head kind of hurts today. If only there was a young man who could give his mom a head massage."

Sakusa sighed as he got up to stand behind the couch to get better access to his mom's head. About 20 minutes later Sakusa asked:
"Maaaa, please just ask your questionn!"

Sakusa's mom internally laughed as she replied:
"Hmm, sure i guess i could...But my throat kinda hurts, maybe some tea could help eh?"

Sakusa looked annoyed but he could never say no to his mom and he wanted to know that damn question, so he went ahead and made some tea:
"Ok mom, NOW will you finally ask your question?"

His mom chuckled and said:
"Alright Alright, come sit."

Sakusa picked up a cup of tea and sat down. And his mom finally spat out her question:

"So, i heard you on the phone yesterday and i wanted to ask..."
