Y/N POV

It was over, the war was over and I was now looking around the ruins of Hogwarts trying to find my family. I had been separated from my younger brother, Draco, a while ago and could only hope that he was okay and had already found mum and dad. Stumbling over some of the rubble I lose my balance and start to fall only to be stopped when someone catches me. Looking up in surprise I couldn't help the small cry that escaped me when I saw that it was dad in front of me and he quickly pulled me into a tight hug trying to reassure me that it was okay.

"I've got you sweetheart and I promise that you, your mother and Draco will never be put in harm's way again. I'm so sorry for putting you in this situation Y/N." He muttered into my hair and I just cuddled into his chest as I listened to him.

"It's okay dad, we know that you didn't want this to happen." I told him as I relaxed into him before realising that mum and Draco weren't there. "Wait, where are mum and Draco? Are they okay?" I asked him quickly and he nodded against the top of my head.

"Hey, they're okay. Your mum took Draco home while I came to find you." He reassured me and I allowed myself to relax again. "Come on, let's go home." He added and we started to leave the grounds of Hogwarts when we were stopped by Harry Potter and his friends.

"YN, thank god you're okay!" Harry exclaimed and I smiled at him. "Wait, where's your mum and Draco? They didn't get hurt did they?" He asked worriedly and I smiled at them.

"It's good to see that you're okay Harry. I can't thank you enough for making sure that Draco got out of that room safely." I told him and I could feel dad nod in agreement. "Mum and Draco are waiting for us at the manor. They're alright, although I think mum might be slightly upset about auntie Bella." I added and I could see Ron shrink back slightly. Pulling away from dad I moved over to him and hugged him quickly before pulling back and going back to dad's side.

"I'm sorry that you lost your aunt, Y/N." Ron said quietly and I smiled at him.

"Ron, your mum did what she had to do to protect your sister. Mum understands that and she holds no ill will towards Molly." I told him and he looked at me surprised. "We tried to help auntie Bella but she was too far gone, Ron. It's okay."

"Mr Weasley, Y/N's right. My wife understands what happened and we both apologise for the torture she put you and your friends through at our manor Mr Potter." Dad told them before turning to Hermione. "Miss Granger, I wish to offer you my deepest apologies for what happened in the manor. I should have stepped in before it got to that stage."

I could see that they were all shocked by what dad had said but they all smiled at him in return. We talked for a while longer before they all moved to rejoin the rest of the Weasley clan and we quickly walked off of the grounds to apparate back to the manor. As soon as we walked in I was pulled into a tight hug by mum and I let any remaining tension leave my body as I hugged her back.

"Thank god you're okay, both of you. I was starting to worry something had happened to you both. What took you so long?" She rambled out and I snuggled into her before explaining what had happened.

"We were stopped by Harry and his friends. They wanted to make sure that you and Draco were safe mum, and Ron apologised about auntie Bella." I explained and mum sighed as she squeezed me tighter. "Harry also wanted me to thank you for helping him in the woods?" I asked and she chuckled as did dad.

"I'm glad that they all came out of the war relatively unscathed, except for poor Miss Granger." Mum said and I knew she was trying not to remember what happened in the manor. "I hope you told Mister Weasley that there is no ill will towards Molly. She did what she had to in order to protect her daughter. I would have done the exact same in order to protect you and Draco, even if the crazy bitch was my sister."
