I sat in front of the cult place while the door burned, I had been using that to stop myself from freezing,
I felt much warmer anyway even without the fire now with my new bending. I had also tried to contact Szeto again but he didn't reply.
Stupid fire dude
I heard some shouting a ways away. I couldn't tell what they were saying but I didn't care.
I blasted the door with more fire bending to make it larger and hopefully a beacon for someone to see.
"HELP!!" I yelled bending a fire ball into the air as a sort of flare.
"(Y/N)!?!" Someone from a ways away yelled in a kind of questioning tone.
"YES HELP" I yelled bending more fire in the air. A group of people ran over to me, I looked around, Desna wasn't with them.
"Don't worry, we were sent out by the chief to find you" one of the members of the group said draping a blanket over me.
"Thank you, do you have any food" I asked as my stomach rumbled. I hadn't eaten in days.
"I have this" one of the guys said giving me some seal jerky.
"Thanks" I said chowing down on the food, it was quite possibly the fastest I've ever eaten.
Time skip
I sat in the healers room, I had sustained a few burns from my fights with the cult guards. The door opened abruptly. It was Desna!
I stood up as tears filled my eyes, his face mirrored mine in a sort of sad joy. I ran over to him and jumped into his arms.
"I though I had lost you" Desna said embracing me tightly.
"I thought you were dead" I said pressing my forehead to desnas.
"Since when were we this close, princy" I asked desna wiping my eyes.
"I have no idea" Desna replied smiling softly.
At a healers
"Did that fire nation bastard give you these burns" Desna said having a look at my wrists. They were lined with burns.
"Ah well um about that, it was a mix of the cult dudes and myself..." I said rubbing the back of my neck.
"But ma'am these are burn wounds, not scold wounds" the healer said in confusion.
"(Y/n), I know your not the sharpest tool in the shed but this is a little much" Desna said with a laugh.
"Well thanks Desna, but I'm not crazy" I said flicking his forehead. I bent a small fire in the palm of my hand. Desnas jaw dropped to the floor.
"Yeah I know it's so cool" I said excitedly. The poor healer was staring at me in shock.
"I'll be back later today or something" I said giving two silver pieces to the healer while dragging Desna out of the room.
"(Y/n) could you please fill me in on the details of how you, one of the best water benders in the North Pole just fire bended in front of me" Desna asked as I sat him down on a chair in the library, I sat on the table.
"Long story short, the cultists that kidnapped me were fire nation supremacists and wanted me; an oracle to contact a fire nation avatar that happened to be my great great great great grandfather and he said "child they will not let you leave, have my bending, escape" and after I got out I lit their door on fire and had to wait for 3 days to get food and help" I said making hand gestures.
"Seems like you had quite the adventure" Desna said with wide eyes.
"Oh yeah and Amka was there" I said looking away, a wave of guilt hit me.
Will Desna look at me differently now that I have blood on my hands, well Amka was trying to kill me...
"Did that bastard try and touch you?" Desna asked standing up in anger.
"Yes, he tried to kill me a-and let's just say he didn't win" I said, tears threatened to spill from my eyes.
"Oh (y/n), don't worry about him, he doesn't matter, you defended yourself, I trust that you made the right decision, I know you wouldn't harm a soul unprovoked, it's one of the many reasons that I love you" Desna said brushing my tears away with his thumb.
"Y-you love me" I asked Desna in shock. I had never felt love so intense for anyone else.
"Ah y-yeah um I-I'm sorry it just slipped out-" Desna said taking a few steps back from me. I grabbed his shoulders and pulled him in for a kiss.
His lips were cold but soft, I found myself smiling into the kiss.
When we separated Desna picked me up by the thighs and spun around with me in his arms.
"Woah there princy, you drop me and I'll still punch you" I said wrapping my arms around his neck.
"O-oh yeah sorry" he said placing me back down on the table. His smile was gorgeous, this was the widest I had ever seen him smile, I knew from that moment that I would do anything to keep that smile.
Time skip (this one is more like a few years rather then a few hours)
"Hello to you too dear" I said as I felt Desna wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Hello princess, I've got a question for you" desna said placing several kitten kisses on my upper back and shoulders.
"Mm and what would that be princy" I said humming in pleasure. I felt a small piece of ribbon being tied around my neck, I looked down excitedly.
It was a betrothal necklace! I smiled widely, the design was intricate and beautiful. The colours meshed so well with the (colour) ribbon it was strung on.

"OF COURSE" I yelled turning around to hug Desna in excitement.
